ESPN 150--4 star tashawn bower---has been looking around since the auburn firing of Chizik---

Apparently we have broken some ground with him and he is now planning an ND visit ---his twitter account seems to confirm this--also confirmed by Sapp & ISD--maybe an alternative option to AQM or maybe he just wants to come and we are open-minded---anyway you cut it.........

It seems being #1 has some legs with recruits---

Looks like you beat Chiro by a minute, Hawaii, so I'll respond to you. Despite hat exciting news, a few concerns:

- It's one thing to get into Auburn, but does he have the classroom qualifications for ND?

- I this connection grows, what does it say about our chances with AQM?

- From Jersey, eh? Speaking of AQM, have they ever played each other?

- Is he a pure DL or the oft-referenced LB/DE hybrid? And which is preferred in the 3-4 anyway?

Thanks.

Tashawn was going to visit in june before he committed to auburn---now he has set three visits--LSU/Florida/ND---i betcha auburn is out----

I really doubt since we ar familiar with him that we would waste his time or our time if he cound't qualify--

We are recruiting him asa 3-4 tweener shembo type---but he is 6/5 so you never know if we do a shwenke and turn him into a WDE--

He is clearly an ALTERNATIVE TO AQM--i don't think it means bad things about muhammad--its just the staff feeling its oats and covering all the bases---we did lose mattingly so we could conceivably take both but i doubt it comes to that---

He is also from THEO's HS in jersey---

aloha's go irish!

Btw this will hurt Gus Malzahn Bc Auburn has historically been able to recruit top defensive talent. They have the #1SDE co I g and I think a top#5wdecoming to on top of this kid.

I don't know if we get him chiro or if we can take both him and AQM but its pretty clear he's not likely going to be AUBURN anymore--once they start looking and setting multiple visits--"the party's over" for auburn----tough business recruiting---ITS DAMN SWEET TO BE ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF RECRUITING ONCE & FOR ALL____I LOVE THIS!!

We can make a lot of room if needed. I think BTK loads the cupboards with difference makers this season. The likelihood of another title game shot next ear is pretty slim so there would be no point in regaining a few if the 5th years if you get a shot on an absolute difference maker.

honestly...nobody thought we would be this good this season and I've always thought next year would be the year we contend for a title (well really it was 2010 when Jimmy, Golden should've been seniors, but whatever we started over with Kelly).....

We'll have a pretty good team next year and our schedule actually gets easier.....A LOT easier IMO unless Michigan and MSU can get MUCH better.....our team is being set up very nicely, we have to replace Zeke, Teo, Shembo, KLM, Riddick, Cave, Toma, Golic, Eifert, maybe wood, maybe martin....

We have maybe slaughter to play saftey (or REDFIELD fingers crossed)...we have pretty good replacements for T'eo even though you can't replace him, Ishaq for Shembo, Day for KLM, Wood (or Carlisle or Bryant) for Riddick, Hegarty for Cave (hopefully), Someone for Golic, Koyack and Niklas for Eifert (tough one but those are some two highly regarded backups)....and we'll have new depth coming to our Oline which is badly needed and should help

We'll have a second year Golson (whose name will be up for a maxwell sooner than later, if he doesn't get beat out by Gunner, not a bad problem to have either)...We'll have a MUCH BETTER receiving corps....I don't see us ever having a "bad" offensive line (and if golson turns into the playmaker we've seen at times it will be much less of a worry)....We'll have a great group of RB's whether Wood comes back or not (please do)....We'll have a good front 7 at the least with probably a better pass rush...we'll have more experience in the d backfield....I'd bring back anyone who can help NEXT SEASON.....with the schedule ND plays if they run the table then they are in the tournament or title game (scare this year was because of the preseason rankings which won't happen next year)

With this season and the way we have played so far I will not predict less than 9 wins unless something drastic happens....but hey if 9 wins is the floor we have ITS A GREAT TIME TO BE IRISH

Beg to differ Chiro. I see another title shot coming.

I don't want to belabor this point but premium film I watched looks close to the guy who used to wear #19

I'd really like him to be IRISH

....I know we're doing great....but that guy was the BEES KNEES....we could've possibly had the 1st two DE's drafted in next years class

Shembo is definitely going to be back next year, only a Junior. I could easily see Collinsworth/Prosise filling in for Zeke, Grace for Te'o, Day for KLM, Watt for Cave (with Hanratty and Martin playing the Gs), Neal for Toma, Koyack/Niklas for Eifert and our RBs are not a worry. It will not be difficult to replace production (I actually think next year's D will be better as there will be more depth/experience at every position than this year). The difficult thing to replace is that the 3 guys on D we lose are our cornerstones (Te'o, Motta, and KLM). These 3 are field generals who get their guys in place and call the coverages - that will be hard to replace.

Shembo is only a junior, right? Don't think he's getting replaced any time soon. Might impact the way the position gets recruited in this cycle too.

Should be interesting to see what unfolds here. If Muhammad walks away from his Miami visit with a new series of priorities, it isn't bad at all to keep talking with a Bower. I'd like to add another skill guy instead (Redfield, Folston, Juwaan Williams, etc) if push comes to shove, but I dig either way. It's also relevant considering the quick turnaround we saw from Bryant - it helps when you win over the parents the way we did in his recruitment, but our staff does a very good job of closing.

One of the USC recruits Sua? Said he thinks Redfield got sured up on his USC visit Saturday.

I think Folston writes his own ticket with us no matter where we are recruiting wise.

I don't see Bower being a fit at ND, seems to be a SEC kinda of guy from what I gather. Beast 2.0 IMO

Sua Cravens. Best DB in the country. Seen this kid play twice and he should make immediate impact. He would also be a 5* wr but he loves to hit.Not good news if he thinks Redfield will be at sc.
