Wow. The more and more I watch Bryant's highlight vids the more I'm impressed with his hands. I definitely see the comparisons to Theo, although I think he could be a solid, solid contributor to the offense as a freshman.

How does everyone see the RB depth chart next year?

It's obviously a good problem to have but it's pretty muddy when you have such talent back there in GAIII, Will Mahone (who has been getting rave reviews), Carlisle, now Bryant, possibly Folston, and you can't forget Cam McDaniel.

Personally, I see the depth chart:

1)Amir Carlisle

2)GA III

3)Will Mahone

4)Greg Bryant

5)Cam McDaniel (odd man out)

Atkinson is a great speed threat, but he needs to put on some muscle and he needs to work on blocking/catching to be more complete. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if he is number 3 on the depth chart next year. But, I wouldn't be surprised if he has a great offseason and is the number 1 guy either. Unfortunately, for Cam, he's the odd guy out. Cam is definitely still a value to the team aka Special Teams and RB depth. He can always play two sides of the ball as well if needed.

Someone needs to clarify this for me. When I was at a game many years ago....the girl who gave us a tour of the campus said, " You don't have to be an "A" student to get into N.D....I was only a "C" student in high school, & I was admitted." She went on to say that it was much more important to have extra curricular activities in your "resume".

This is awesome guys. Him and Luke's commitments are mainly attributable due to this great season I feel. I'm kind of speechless right now, so I'm just going to say the following:

"Welcome to Notre Dame Greg Bryant!!!"

this guy is the truth. Elite period..

I'm guessing an important family connection would be needed in this case unless you run a 4.4 40 or are 6'10

I guess my first thought was a senior Theo Riddick at 18. Lighter Marcus Lattimore, has those agile feet with a power back ability has well, Pead maybe from Kelly's time at Cincy.

Already runs out of the shotgun. I still would not mind adding Folston. I'd say those two could be just a wonderful inside/outside combo.

Bryant can definitely jump up the depth chart... RB is a position that accommodates. BUT, i think it really comes down to who is best all-around (blitz pickup, hands, holds-the-ball, etc).

Too easy to put Mahone, Carlisle and Bryant ahead when we haven't seen much of them in Kelly / Martin's O.

If Wood leaves, I actually have Cam alot higher. GAIII needs to bulk up and learn to run tough.

My peripheral observer rankings are

1. Carlisle (based on USC work)

2. GAIII (based on this year's depth rank)

3. Cam McDaniel

4. Mahone

5. Bryant

Mahone could flip position with McDaniel... we'll see. I didn't hear much about him on the Scout teams... so it just doesn't seem to me that he'd be a natural to jump Cam yet.

Bryant.. if he can jump the first 3.. WOW... otherwise save him if you can.

My goodness. kid is a stud.

His high school is one of the best down in Broward. I looked at that school for my kid and I think it's like $20,000 a year. Greg will fit in nicely at ND.

From the little I saw on Carlisle, I like Bryant more (potentially). Ga111 has to come on this spring but I think he will. If he pumps up and runs well north and south he will be the man.

Very pumped about this kid!! What a great get!

Welcome to ND Greg!

Check this one out.....from 3 years ago when he was playing varsity (as an 8th grader).....

I almost got to 40 seconds on that one, but the language made me feel disgusting.

Nonetheless, WELCOME to ND, Mr. Bryant! Hope to see a lot of you on the field...and soon!

Interesting thoughts. A lot of faith in Amir... based on what has happened with his injuries since his transfers, I'll be interested to see if that impacts his development and skill set. That said, I can't disagree at all with showing Cam McDaniel some love. I've said it here and to others; if he got 10 carries against any program in the country during a given week, I wouldn't consider him a liability against any of them. He could be a great complimentary back in our system.

GAIII's development will be a very interesting topic this off-season. It'll go a long way towards shaping the distribution of touches in 2013.

Still think Bryant has a great chance at getting his share.
