Hearing its a done deal, big loss for Bama if true

He recently got a new deal and he'll probably get another one early next year so it wasn't a play for better deal. He's already one of the highest paid DC's in the country. Saban's staff has turnover every year when his assistants and coordinators get approached for other jobs and with two exceptions, he's always supported them. Smart has been approached every year for HC positions but he's waiting for a better opportunity than the dumpster fire which is Auburn right now.

 

agree.....badness is gonna come down on that program before it's all said and done........

If I'm Auburn and being that they are hated rivals I would require him to leave immediately, but I haven't heard anything about that aspect yet, still scanning the SEC sites for more info, hearing he will be getting around 3.2 million a year

 

Exactly, they steal a favorite son from their hated rival and will want him on the job immediately. I'm sure Bama fans are cursing him out on their sites and want nothing to do with him even if it hurts them in the title game. These two schools are like the Hatfields and McCoys -- no love lost especially when you are perceived as a turncoat as he now is
