ESPN evaluation of Treadwell

This kid plays at my wife's old high school Crete-Monee. He is a beast in the Spread. However, I am hearning nothing about ND in the local papers when it comes to his recruitment. Michigan clearly looks like the school to beat. Since, I am also a local high school football coach there have been whispers about grades. A similiar situation occured with an athlete last year who was one credit short in a Foreign Language. Hope its not true, but ND looks like they are on the outside looking in, right now.

I would love to see ND get Treadwill and Ty Issac (flip from USC) to come to Notre Dame. Hate seeing any 5* Chicago talent go anywhere else.

According to II, Treadwell named Ole Miss his #1. Echoes of Cam Newton, anyone?

I think it was Mississippi State that was throwing brief cases of cash at Newton's dad. Actually who am I kidding, there were probably at least 5 SEC teams doing that...

I think you might be right. Robert Whassisname who decommitted from Clemson looks to be heading there (I know his brother plays there, but still) and Laquon appears to be following. I have a hard time imagining the #1 WR and the #1 DT (and #1 player in the country) going to a 6-6 team that they have no geographical connection to unless there was something funny going on.

Maybe, but Hugh Freeze is a really good coach/recruiter, and I have to believe he's selling the idea that they can come in right away and put the team over the top. Plus, the girls there ... My god.

Yep. Ole Miss has not been a good team for a while but those Southern girls are the best looking in the entire country.

I thought the story with Nkemdiche was that his brother played there and his mother wanted him to be at school with his brother?

Yeah, that is pretty much what was going on there. Mom didn't want to have to travel to see both sons play. Apparently she was pissed when he picked Clemson. I wouldn't surprise me if something funny was going on, but I think this is more about family, and as someone mentioned, being able to come in and take things over.

People could have said the same thing after ND went 3-9, and had the top class in the country.
