jlgyork
ESPN jsut put out their new Top 150 and 300. Jaylon got his 5th star, which they only have 9. ND has a total of 7 in the top 150. http://espn.go.com/college-sports//football/recruiting/playerrankings/_/view/espnu150/sort/rank/class/2013
Gorm Is Ór
ND has a total of 7 in the top 150. 6 of whom are on the defensive side of the ball, for what it's worth.
coachingintx
I thought bivin, hunter and mcgovern where all offensive players?
Rockets Revenge
It is about F'n time ESPN got on board with the other recruiting services. Jaylon is a stud..no doubt!!
2lakes
I thought bivin, hunter and mcgovern where all offensive players? They are, except for maybe Bivin, who might go D IIRC. Outside the 150, but in the 300, are a QB, CB, and RB: Zaire 178 Butler 187 James 232 Where the heck is Montelus and Elmer? On 247's composite rankings, they are: Elmer 133 Montelus 143 ESPN is the outlier, in a negative way, on those guys.
OKCIrish99
Can't wait to get this stud on campus. Already wondering what game he will start by. We are friggin loaded at linebackers next year.

I think I heard that the knock on Elmer was that he didn't go out and do every camp imagineable, which is why he is lower on their list. IRISHSTL7
We are going to have one hell of a LB core coming in. I hope they are all as pumped and intense as Jaylon and Michael Deeb!!!

NicePost
Auburn has 3 of the top 25, and it is inconceivable how those guys stay committed given the obvious. Unfortunately, none will becoming to ND, but will likely be headed toward Tuscaloosa. I had believed that parity in college football would prevent a modern day dynasty, but Saban has proved me wrong. davislove
I expected his stock to fall not because he is isn't a stud, because his HS team is not great and his number aren't mind blowing. I know teams keep the ball away from him as much as possible so he's not getting double digit tackles etc. he's a freak any way you slice it. it's weird how last season was so painful recruiting wise and this year it's just on cruise control. Stats aren't everything on D. A good D like ours will limit the number of tackles as the D keeps the other team off the field. Manti isn't gonna lead the nation is tackles cause the other team isn't marching up and down the field with 15 play drives.
