AnnArborsASlut 0
USC had to fire a student manager who was caught letting air out of footballs before the Oregon game. Supposedly that makes them easier to throw/catch. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2012/football/ncaa/11/08/usc-manager-fired-deflating-ball.ap/index.html?sct=cf_t2_a6
irishrb 0
I saw that too. My boys got a good laugh out of it. Hopefully this continues to happen to Lane...that we can just sit back and laugh. USC will still be TOUGH this year though.

This is exactly like the long grass assertion back in 2005 where it would only slow down their players but not ours. Ridiculous.

So only USC would be throwing and catching the deflated balls. Besides, Lane "knew" nothing about it, we can't pin this on him.

stdntDrvr 12
Ahh, I thought both teams used the home team balls. Makes a lot more sense now.... ...due to the lack of you knowing that each team played with their own balls (no pun intended), your label as a 'true fan' is being revoked. NDsection23 0
I can't wait for the USC game - we're going to kick Lane and the rest of the Trojans square in their deflated balls!
corysold 0
So he can't coach, he underperforms with great players, he's on his 3rd or 4th mini scandal of the season and the team just had their worst defensive game in school history. Why exactly are kids lining up to play there?
MantyIrish 0
Even if they used the same balls, it would makes sense for U$C to do this. OREGON PASSING YARDS 220.0 (76th) RUSHING YARDS 341. (22nd) U$S PASSING YARDS 312.7 (17th) RUSHING YARDS 152.0 (75th) Long grass would affect straight ahead power running differently than cutback, sweep, counter type running. That gif above is awesome. lol.

yikityyakirish 0
As a former student manager I have to say that one of the USC coaches is behind this...Manager's never do anything other than what their coaches didn't tell them to do (it would be too much extra work haha)

This and the jersey issue a few weeks ago. Lane is pulling out all the stops to try to stay coach out there. Man, I hope we beat these guys at the end of the year.
