I'm not seeing proper use of the sarcasm smiley here, gentlemen. ;) Just hoping Mr Hayes or a family member, perusing this site, does not get the wrong idea.

Welcome, young man, to the ranks of the elite. You certainly meet the criteria based on this alone:

“I’ve been rooting for Notre Dame and it’s a great academic institution,” he told ISD last month. “You have to look at a school like that because a lot kids can’t get in there. Me using football as a vehicle to get a degree or move on to the next level and have an opportunity to win a national championship, it’s amazing. You have to take advantage of those opportunities.”

He might not be allowed to play by the NCAA if he's straight up breaking other people's quarterbacks and all.

What the hell type of blocking scheme is that?

Really? You don't block the giant defensive end on the line, but expect your 5'6" 125 RB to pick him up?

That's just bad coaching.

That's three for 2014, and a few hard leans, already. I initially felt that 2014 would have to be a short schollie year, and that ND would have to be real choosy, particularly if they maxed out on 2013. But here's what I see for numbers as it would be for the 2014 season:

Class - Schollies

2011 - 22

2012 - 16

2013 - 22-25 (depends on Redfield, Muhammad, Folston, etc.)

----------

Total - 60-63

Even assuming, then, no more medicals or transfers, that would still leave between 22 to 25 combined for the class of 2014 PLUS fifth years from 2010. From what I see, the members of the 2010 recruiting class with redshirt availability would be:

Andrew Hendrix

Luke Massa

Alex Welch

Christian Lombard

(Tate Nichols - out on medical?)

Bruce Heggie

Louis Nix (yeah, right!)

Danny Spond

Justin Utupo

Kendall Moore

Lo Wood

Chris Badger

Austin Collinsworth (medical redshirt?)

So, maybe retain 3 or 4 of these? Then, even if take 4 fifth years, and assume we get and keep 25 in this 2013 class, that would still leave a decent recruiting class for 2014, hence:

Class - Schollies

2010 - 4 fifth years

2011 - 22

2012 - 16

2013 - 25

2014 - 18

----------

Total - 85

And, likely, something or other would happen between now and February 2014, so I bet we're still looking at signing a class of around 20-ish for 2014.
