he said tonight that ND is quote "out of the picture" very tough news to hear. you never know but things look dim.

He mentioned last week that he still thought Wilson would be ND. James is playing this so close to the cuff. Is all this on the bases of what the SC boards are saying?

What I heard Frank say was that he could not get any info on this... but he thought things were bleak. He seems to be doing alot of waffling.

he said it tonight during power hour, he didnt waffle this time. he sai from all the things he is hearing is that we are out of the picture. dont kill the messenger.

that's bad news. Didn't he just say a month ago that he would be our next commit?

he sounds like he already knows the decision that Wilson made. This really stinks with the needed depth we need on the OL.

Don't look now but USC is putting together another freakin' #1 recruiting class. Unvbelievable!

I know Vagas, it is definitely starting to look that way. It makes me sick that they are able to do that. We will be in that position soon enough, it's just ashame that we will continue to lose big time kids to USC for a while yet.

I read an article yesterday, cant recall where from, it said that wilson would be our next commit and that he would choose ND.

If USC signs Wilson that will suck. That means we have now lost Gallippo, Marc Tyler and James Wilson to them.

USC is doing something right, I'm just not sure what it is. This is gonna be a long process to get to their level. USC just stockpiles talent and we need to as well.

Just ranting here. I cannot believe Wilson is going there. I wonder what's in the water out there. It sounded like Wilson was a total lock for us after his visit.

USC has been winning and putting kids in the pros, you do that and kids will come its that simple

we are on our way

Not only do they put kids in the pros, they produce superstars. Although ND has NBC, USC has all of LA drooling over them. I am from LA, and nobody is rooting for the Lakers or Dodgers - so everyone roots for USC. They are celebs out there. With that comes everything a HS senior would want - parties, women, beaches, and good weather - not to mention a legit chance at a national title. Also, now that USC's academic reputation is climbing, people don't look at it like a Miami or FSU. Is essence, it is a good mix of ND (academics + tradition) and Miami (party + weather). Don't get me wrong - I hate the school more than any other school in the nation, but I can understand these kids' logic.

me too grease

Well said grease!

i think it's safe to say that james wilson will be headed to USC. this totally stinks losing him to SC.

I am sure Pete's lack of OL recruiting recently helped him land Wilson. ND had an amazing OL class last year, and Wilson was probably convinced by PC that he would be playing earlier at USC than he would be at ND.

thats possible but with wilsons skills he would've had no problem making the starting lineup. i just hope we can land matt summers-garvin.

Sure we don't necessarily have the party or the weather but once we start putting up wins and sending kids off to the NFL such as this year we will definitely start to win more and more of those recruiting battles. I really hope that CW and BQ put an ass-whoopin' on USC like they did to us the last couples years (not counting last season).

i'd like to see ND win 45-14 over USC. that would really shake up recruiting.

14? I want 45 - 0.

As long as it's a blow out...What I really want is Quinn to go 22 for 23 passing for 450 yards and 5 TDs on his way to becoming the next Heisman trophy winner. It's only right that we return the favor...Palmer and Leinart won the Heisman against us.
