OKCIrish99 3
Yeah he is great but Oregon's defense is trash.Uh USC still has a pretty good offense and is home. They are not elite but far from trash. Starting to think Riddick and Cierre Wood will run well at USC. irishfan82 9
Oregon is the best team in the country in my opinion with Alabama number two behind them. They both are able to enforce their game on their opponents.
ottawand 0
USC's run defense is terrible, talk about soft, we should be able to run on them for big yardage.
OKCIrish99 3
Uh...if Oregon can't stop USC's run attack how could they stop Alabama?USC has around 125 yds on the ground. Not terrible rush defense especially considering how ridiculously quick their offense scores. Bama doesn't have the horses to keep up with Oregon. But Bama's defense isn't as good as last year. They are still really good but last year they were absurdly dominant. Oregon's offense is unstoppable. They run at a blitzkreig pace and it's simply foolish if anyone thinks Bama will shut them out or hold them less than 10 points. Oregon and Alabama are the best 2 teams in the country and it's not even close.

I agree, Bama will stop the one dimensional attack of Oregon and force them into passing situations which the Ducks are ill equipped to handle. http://www.domerdomain.com/forum/images/smilies/newsmilies/deadhorse.gif

They pass some when necessary and Mariota can fling it. He just doesn't as much as other teams because they don't have to. He can run also and is fast. He's also 6'6". Oregon and Alabama make for a dream national title with the different attacks etc.
Green Goblin 114
Oregon will win 62-51. Can't believe some of you think Oregon would beat Bama. They've already played when it was called LSU vs. Oregon and LSU beat Oregon like a drum.

Oregon's offense is better this year and Bama's defense isn't quite as dominant although still damn good.

Bama would hang 40-50 on Oregon and Oregon would score mid-20s or low 30s tops.

You don't give any credit to Oregon's defense which is a mistake. Again, they are not great but pretty damn good.

NDhoosier 1,336
Oregon would beat Alabama... the only reason U$C was still in that was because they have a future NFL QB and 2 future NFL WRs. Alabama is not loaded in the passing game. Alabama's defense would not be able to stop Oregon. Oregon would score 30 points on Alabama and I dont think Alabama can score that many points in return. yikityyakirish 0
Oregons offense has been like this for like 7 years now....where are the rings?? YOU CANT WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP WITHOUT A GOOD DEFENSE....not saying they have to be elite or best in the country but who's the last national champion that gave up 50+ in a game? Ummm ok there's a world of difference between Arizona (a finesse team) versus a bruiser like Alabama. USC isn't a bruiser but was still running the ball well against Oregon. I think Alabama would run at will against Oregon. USC o-line isn't all that good. Bama's is. Bama's o-line would dominate Oregon's d-line. i have no doubt. Oregon's defense has played very well against nearly every other team. Also, Silas Redd is a damn good and he didn't run wild v. Oregon.
