dangeruss 6
i don't know who'll be asked back for a fifth year or not so for arguments sake lets say ND can bring in 25 commits this year. who gets the last three spots. i'll go with... 1. Max Redfield 2. Al-Quadin Muhammad 3. Tarean Folston hard to keep Mackensie Alexander off the list but landing Cole Luke makes it easier. Dayton_Domer 0
I think ND leads for two of the three...could be silent commits.

Big23Head 2,499
Completely agree with what has been said, Alquadin Muhammad and Redfield to wrap this class up. If we happen to get another scholarship open somehow then go from there.

If we can't flip Redfield, LJ Moore wouldn't be a bad replacement. We really need to go after a DT, though.

Katzenboyer 0
Redfield, AQM and then the best player available (DeMarcus Robinson or Alexander are the most likely candidated) if I can only take three. Folston is a nice player, but with Carlisle, Mahone, McDaniel and James, and with the possibility of Wood getting asked back next year, he's not a need. Fill up on defensive studs while you can. OklahomaIrish 0
We no longer have a position of dire need. Just take the three best athletes available to us.
Crab Apple 0
ND doesn't recruit true NT types IMO. They like the size/speed/athleticism of 3/4 DEs, and the guys that turn out slower/less athletic, they move them into the inside. It's the same way they handle offensive lineman. They only recruit OTs, and then move guys inside that don't have the skills to stay outside. Isaac Rochell, Jarron Jones, etc. could potentially be moved inside. IrishOrDie 0
Isn't AQM a silent verbal at this point? If so, that leaves us with 2 spots theoretically, right?

If ND takes 4 5th years there are currently 2 spots left. So with AQM there would be 1.

And I think it's a safe assumption that Watt, Martin, Wood, and one of Calabrese/Fox are guaranteed to be back from ND's point of view. So I think they have 2 sports available (1 if you count AQM), but there's no guarantee Wood returns.

If you believe in silent commits, then yes. But he's talking about taking trips elsewhere and he hasn't come out and verballed, so it's open season on him in my eyes. nd1baby 0
Letting one of Calabrese/Fox go seems a tough call. If we took one, couldn't the other still continue albeit on his own dime?

Yes but won't happen. If the current LB class stays it will be just fine...
irishfan82 9
I say Willis, Alexander, and any pure speed athlete would finish this class nicely.
