OklahomaIrish 0
Middle linebacker Tre Walker is out for the year. Kid had 52 tackles and 3 for lost yardage. Maybe this helps Okie State Saturday.
NDhoosier 1,335
As long as they have Collin Klein, K-State is going to be good. As much as I want Teo to win the Heisman, Klein is the definition of MVP in college football. Just like Peyton Manning, without Manning, the Colts are a 2-14 team, with him, they are a super bowl contender. If Klein got hurt, K-state would be done. hawaiiirish 62
The defense has been very important to K State's run---this is a big loss no other way to put it.---Its also worth noting that a team like K State will not be able to show the depth a team like Bama or ND can---there will be a big fall off on defense for them after this injury. aloha's

KSU offense is what drives that team, they will score plenty of points in the next four weeks.
dangeruss 6
KSU needs to keep winning with bama and oregon loosing. i'd rather face ksu for the championship.
zemaniak 105
Gimme Bama The best to cement our RE-relevançe would be to face, AND beat, Big Bad Bama Plus,,they are beatable, in the sense that we match up well against them Are they faster/tougher than Stanford? Most probably. But by then, we need to assume and believe EG will have continued to develop to a level that would give us an advantage against them Oregon bothers me. Their speed, the uptempo, i'd rather face them second KSU, well, most believe that would be the eassiest of the three matchups. I'm not so sure in the sense that we do have issue against mobile QBs Gimme the TIde ! Eh, gimme 12-0 first
hawaiiirish 62
Kansas State was a 6 point winner over Iowa state---27-21-- and a 5 point winner over Oklahoma 24-19---BOTH GAMES low scoring by big 12 standards---most everybody can score in the big 12 , but kansas plays pretty good defense thats why they DO NOT HAVE TWO LOSSES already---losing likely their best defensive player with oklahoma state--TCU & texas still to go is a major setback IMHO---look for OSU to make a strong run at them this weekend! aloha's
OklahomaIrish 0
Just talked to my band daughter, Mariah, and she has a bunch of friends at Oklahoma State in the band. They are going to beat Kansas State for us and put us in the title game. She said Manti has 30% of the popular vote for the Heisman. If OSU beat K State and colin Klein, then I think Manti is in the driver's seat. Isn't this just crazy??????????

Going to be tough though. Real tough. Wes Lunt is going to have play out of his mind. Just don't see how OSU's defense is going to stop them. KSU's offense seems to get better each week and OSU's defense looked terrible v. Arizona and Texas. If anything, there will certainly be some OSU fans in Manhattan for this one considering the close proximity.

I saw about 10 minutes of OSU against Texas and I really like their offensive game plans. Things like this happen every year. KSU loses their best linebacker and OSU will take advantage of the situation. This is a big game for them and Mike Gundy. Just a feeling. Not something I've studied. But I've been right so often lately I thought maybe if I said it it would happen!!

SDIrishFan 607
I was listening to the II podcast yesterday. Sampson mentioned he talked to a few scouts that attended KSU's practices and they are bewildered how that team could be undefeated. He said they have a few nice players but overall, they just aren't good. Sampson said that obviously points to coaching, which they have a great one in Snider. I'm just hoping that catches up with them in at least one game this year. We shall see.

I'm not sure exactly how JUCO's are equated, but their classes from 2008-2012 were #27, #91, #67 and #68 with 4 or 5 4* players. Coaching is a big part, the QB helps, but I just don't how everyone thinks they'll beat a team like ND or Bama, teams with roughly equal coaching and more raw talent. OKCIrish99 3
Synder is a miracle worker. Manhattan, KS isn't exactly a hotbed, of well anything. He simply takes good kids and lots of jc transfers and coaches the living crap out of them. Klein literally plays possessed sometime. I can see them losing one towards the end but not Saturday. OSU's defense isn't that great at all.

EddieAngel 602
This whole KSU season reminds me of BK at Cincy. I see Snyder getting a more lucrative position in two years and KSU returning to mediocrity. Klein is more Kellen Moore than Andrew Luck. If all four unbeatens run the table there is a fair chance we will square off against KSU in a BCS game, then we will see how good they really are. Either way they are going to have a big game at year's end.
OklahomaIrish 0
two words: Collin Klein ... without him, K-state is a 6-6 team. This is exactly the truth. History repeats itself. Snyder had a quarterback named Bishop a number of years ago and they should have won the national title. They lost one game, and it was a game they should have won. I think it was Texas A & M. Bishop was a monster when he ran the ball. Snyder gets his boy at quarterback and look out. He wants them big, fast, strong and smart. They can throw, but their biggest asset is their feet. If Klein were to go down even for one game they would be in serious trouble. OSU can do this. That's what I kept saying about us and OU. We can do this. I would rather have Bama go down, but will be uber happy if we get one game to go our way this weekend (other then our game of course!)
