last night as I watched the south carolina/cfu game that O'leary would have been a solid coach at ND. Don't get me wrong. I'm glad things turned out the way they did. Weis will be great. O'leary would have been solid. They guy always has teams that play hard and play with fundamentals. They really had South Carolina's number in the second half. I really think he would have done a nice job at ND. He would have won 8 or 9 games a year and they would have been in a bowl game every year. Things work out for a reason and in this case the reason is Charlie Weis. ND would have been better the last 3 years with O'leary but they will be great the next 10 with Weis. I have to say I'll be rooting for CFU this year and hope that O'leary has some success down there.

I never knew too much about O'leary, but I was willing to give him a chance. Obviously wasn't as excited as I am about this hire though. I do feel bad for the guy though, having yet to win a game regardless of any improvements he has made for the UCF program.

solid, what is this solid....Frank Solich was solid at 9-3. This is ND where the big boys should have and now rome.

my only point was he would have been better than Davie and Willingham but not as great as I think Weis will be. In the end everything works out for a reason and I think suffering through the Ty years will be worth the next 10 with Weis.

The best whole part. I don't really care what we do I'm so gloriously happy it's not the Ty crap I have to watch.

I just realized you guys keep all posts. It's interesting (and sad) going back to the beginning.

 

Much like in this post, I think Kelly is a "solid" hire. But was hoping for more.
