Rattlesnake
....play Bama, Oregon, or KSU, who would you want to play the most? Strangely enough, I think I'm leaning towards Bama right now.

Rattlesnake
KSU or Bama... I want nothing to do with Oregon... ...couldn't agree more. No huddle seems like it could potentially be this defense's kryptonite.
Gettysburg Irish
Bama if we win no bigger name, non-mobile qb. Like Rocket, I fear the ducks
irishrb
Not even close for me...KState.
DamshaBua
....play Bama, Oregon, or KSU, who would you want to play the most? Strangely enough, I think I'm leaning towards Bama right now. As in boxing, styles make fights (or games). Stylistically, I think ND matches up better against Alabama than either KSU or Oregon. Alabama is pretty vanilla on offense. They just don't make mistakes and physically manhandle opponents. KSU has a Tebow-esque, dual-threat, QB in Klein. Even if you do everything right on a defensive play, he can still make a big play in the air or run it. I hate that. Oregon has that wacky, uber-fast, option attack. I'm not a coach, but to me it looks like they run basically 6-8plays but do it out of a zillion looks and alignments. Barner and Thomas are home run threats on every play. corysold
I'd want K. State if it was the title game. One man team at the QB (mostly). I think with a month, ND could stop that. I'd want Alabama next, really good team, but they are basically ND with a year more experience at QB and a shutdown corner. Don't know if ND wins, but they don't get blown off the field. Oregon is the odd one. I can see ND controlling the line of scrimmage and slowing them, but I don't know if ND can stop them for a whole game. However, on the other hand, the last few times Oregon played SEC style teams, big up front with good team speed, they were held under 30 both times. So who knows. I think ND beats K. State by double digits. I think ND hangs with Alabama, not sure if they could win yet. I think Oregon would be a total tossup, not sure how to predict that one. ndomer4
Could not agree more, Oregon would be a nightmare. We would seem to match up with Bama best i think, but all teams would provide a great challenge.
zemaniak
Hell, i'd be curious to see how we fare against all 3 of them!
IrishGuy
If I had to put those 3 in order of preference I would say 1) Alabama 2) KSU 9999999384798734234908234) Oregon
notredameroom
Don't care who we would play. Just want to get in the game and have the chance.
artfernisanass
k state, without question - how many of their wins have been because of turnovers? they are #4 nationally in turnover margin - a nice stat, but if you're living by the turnover, it can spell trouble when they're not forthcoming in a particular game. in their game against OU, for example, they won the turnover battle 3-0 and still barely scraped by with a win (OU actually had more yards in that game)... dream scenario - alabama and oregon lose and ND wins out and gets KState in the National Championship
Franco
Yup it's not that Oregon is better than Alabama... We just match up better with Alabama

Domers23
Am I the only one that is not scared of Oregon? They totally play to ND's strength. They are not a great passing team. They run much more then they pass. ND takes away the run with physical play up front and great tackling. They also take away the deep ball. I guarantee you Oregon does not play anyone as talented and physical as ND. Also our offensive line has the ability to dominate their defensive line. Once again not scared of Oregon. Not one team that they have played comes close to having the physical defense we have. Just ask all of the OU players that limped off the field yesterday. I see the same thing happening against the Ducks.
