I am the first to say that I don't think we'll win this Saturday.

But my "gut feeling" is we're going to win. I don't know why. I keep thinking about this special season. Stanford beat USC and my head said we were going to lose to them as well. Last night I rewatched the Stanford game and we punched them in the mouth. We outphysicalled them. Golson played outside himself at times.

I have no idea why but I think we take this Saturday! I don't see Oklahoma as a "tough" team. I see them as a very good finesse team relying on execution of finesse offense and "speed" on a smaller defense. We have become a power smash mouth football team and my gut says they can't handle dog fight.

My head says we're losing but every time I think about it, I get this feeling that we are going to beat the ever living shit out of them and wear their OL and D down by the 4th. I don't remember feeling this way about an important game before. Very strange. Anyone else?

I went with a Cincinnati alum to the UC vs. Oklahoma game a few years ago at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincy. I believe it was the year after Kelly left UC (2010?). Before the game the OU fans were all over the UC fans about the ass whooping they were "fixin" to receive. Despite having a below average defense, UC was very physical and knocked OU around for 4 quarters. UC should have won the game if it weren't for a couple of misfortunes at the end of the game. I believe the score was 31-29 OU. I remember thinking at the time that this is one of the best teams in the country? I realize this was 2 years ago but I wasn't impressed with the lack of physicality by OU. If we can get some pressure on the QB and limit turnovers we will be in this game. I agree my gut is also telling me we win this game.

My gut and my brain are both saying ND wins this one.

for the sake of ease, I've copied my tweets on the subject (I'm lazy.)

Why ND will beat OU, reason #6: Golson's legs. Fresh legs will keep the OU defense honest and extend plays #NDvsOU #GoIrishbeatSooners #NDfb

Where's #2? And no answers that point to the bathroom, please.

NM: I found it.

I won't be watching the game, it is my wife's birthday and we are going to LA to see the Cirque Du Soleil. Oddly enough, though, I feel peace about this game. I think that God favors the Irish and they are going to win. Join me in prayer for ND, Brady Quinn, and of course Oklahoma's wife.

My gut feeling says there's just no way that our offense will do enough to win. But there's something that keeps repeating in the back of my mind, as though it's haunting me...sounds something like "Teeeeee-O Teeeeee-O Teeeeee-O..."

If the defense wills us to victory, I will say that the sky's the limit for this team this season.

Oddly... I felt more unease about BYU than I do about OU.

BYU definitely felt like a trap game, especially after the emotional Stanford victory. BYU has a tough D, and fortunately we just wore them down.

OU... will definitely be tough, but it is on the road and I don't feel we have the psychological burden ... which makes the game more fun, and the players more loose. If we get fair officiating, I think we will win a close one... with some memorable performances by front 7 on the D.

NM: I found it.
