October 20, 201212 yr Well, maybe the RBs will be tearing it up & Eifert gets some justice today. EG to TE has been heartbreaking. I have a feeling that the cougar D will be on their heels covering TE. Which receiver do you THINK may have a huge breakout day?
October 20, 201212 yr "Gun", now thats funny. I'm nowhere near any ledge and I'm still waiting for Turnover Tommy to appear. Hopefully it isn't today. He was only a sophomore last year for Christ's sake...
October 20, 201212 yr I also think this strategy has something to do with the upcoming OU game. BK always says he likes to throw confusion into our opponents so that they have to spend more time figuring out multiple defenses for multiple qbs. If Tommy is successful today, watch BK say afterwards that (assuming EG is healthy) they both may play next week, regardless of what BK really thinks. The more he can keep OU off balance, the better it is for the Irish. It's very BKish for him to do this. OTOH, I also do think he's a bit paranoid with all the long-term concussion stuff that's been thrown around this season. It's also quite normal for him (as it would be for many others in the profession) to be uber cautious with EG over this. I suspect he wants to see how EG responds to real game conditions as opposed to practice conditions, which are always different. It's going to be very intense next week in Norman and he's gotta make sure about EG's head and concentration as best as he can before then (which ain't all that hot under normal circumstances), while also making sure he as well as Everett don't push things too far. As much as the med staff can explore and judge, this still is a very inexact science at this point in time.
