Just heard this on Gameday as well, per a report from the Chicago Tribune.

Stay away from the ledge gentlemen. It'll be alright, the team is in capable hands with Tommy "Gun" Rees.

GO IRISH!!!

"Gun", now thats funny. I'm nowhere near any ledge and I'm still waiting for Turnover Tommy to appear. Hopefully it isn't today.

This. What you said.

And its just fine with me. Let OU prepare for two. I didn't like Tommy ore season, but I think the off the field issues has not only humbled him but made him understand how fortunate he is for getting a second chance.

Can't say I'm happy with this, don't like tinkering with a winning formula. I just hope this dosen't become a permanent thing, this offense will never be multi dimensional with Rees at the helm. That being said, I hope Rees has a great game and puts my fears to rest.

Let those horses loose...

Guy has given this team everything we could ask/hope for this season...doubt we'd be 6-0 without him yet you gotta take a shot. How about we give him our support and let the game play out.

I saw this, but it also said Golson would play.

Why would you play him, but not start him?

This could turn into another QB rant post by me if it doesn't work out.

This is off-putting. I've only seen tommy throw one good pass all season and that was the sideline bomb to Tyler. I just hope this start is the same kind of "start" he had against Miami. We need EG to learn all he can before OU.

Yeah, if it's for sure Golson's going to play, then I'm not sure why he doesn't start. Confusing really. If it was still a medical concern, that's one thing, but at that point, he would just be sitting the entire game out. If you plan to play him, start him, IMO.

This could be good actually. Give the guys on offense something to really get excited for this week.

This is a "trap" game coming off the high of last week and looking forward to Oklahoma. Hopefully Tommy will be excited and it will lend itself to the other guys wanting to make things happen as well. Creates a wounded animal sense so they shouldn't be complacent.

Also, we'll see Hendrix today.

He hasn't been practicing for nearly the entire week, Tommy has. BYU has a good defense and Golaon looked confused a lot last week when he did practice the whole week.

Tommy is theoretically more prepared for this. Tommy also usually plays good against teams ND should beat. But I'm sure Coach wants Golson to get some action heading into next week.

Not crazy when you think about it.

This is going to eventually blow up in our face....
