Getting major love on the Jim Rome show from an interview he had today on the radio program. Said he was the most impressive young athlete he has ever interviewed and it made the hair stand up on his arm listening to Manti describe how he handled his losses and his viewpoints on getting through the tough times.

Nooooooooooooo! Cowboy fan here...I will be forced to root for him in the under ground.

I had a huge Alabama fan text me today saying he thought Teo would win the Heisman. He also thinks we are going to the BCS title game to play Bama. I said we are good but I don't know if we are "The Man" yet.

Or to Indy with Tommy

Teo needs to keep his head on straight and focus on the next game, school, family and the other things that matter.

I don't think he'd impact as many lives as he has, had he gone to USC.

One of my favorite moments of the Brian Kelly era was the USC game in 2010, but more specifically the drive to win the game and Robert Hughes' role in that drive. I was so happy for Robert that the end of his career would wrap up in such a great way - down late in the game, applying his will and running the team to the winning score with heart and determination and be a class act to represent the university at the same time.

I so want to see Manti have a similar ending - a huge play to secure the win at USC and to put the cherry on top of a Heisman campaign that is well deserved...

Honestly, his celebrity isn't QUITE there yet, but I think the Livestrong Organization couldn't do much better than affiliating themselves with Te'o, and maybe eyeballing him as a future leader for them given what transpired yesterday with their previous leader. Hearing him speak about his grandparents and his girlfriend in that interview, and I can't think of many other people with his kind of impact and ability to identify with the battle against cancer.

Love this idea...

I think Te'o would be a great spokesman for a lot of organizations, but I want no part of him being a part of that one.

There are plenty of good charity organizations or Te'o could found his own.
