The more Shaw talks, the more he sounds like a pentulant 7 year old who had his Nintendo taken away.

Well, maybe he thinks that Harbaugh was so good because he acted like a baby.

 

Or maybe he's just Kiffining out. Either way, the guy is quickly losing credibility with his lack of class.

 

Coach Kelly will not even address this, watch. That used to bother me, but then again maybe it is why ND is 6-0 and Stanford is 4-2.

 

Oh, and too bad Stanford doesn't hire guys who know how to do their research on the internet.

Stanford is a better school than Notre Dame. Who gives a sh*t? Not this guy, thats for sure because ND is still one of the best schools in the country as well.

When I brag about our student athletes compared to other schools, I always mention that ND has the second strictest requirements for team eligibility among FBS schools. We require our players to maintain a 2.8GPA to remain eligible and Stanford requires a 3.0GPA. Most of the remaining schools require only a 2.0.

Whatever, we are still great in academics and we won on the field. Now if he wants to talk about spirituality...we blow those know it all, heathen bastards out of the water! lol

Relax guys.. He 's a football coach. His compensation relies on whether or not they win games. Harbaugh won games with these restrictions.

The helmet to helmet hit shouldn't have been called ... The running back scored at the end (after everyone else had stopped) ... Now his thing is that ND academics are not as good ( Look at graduation rates please)

Maybe we shouldn't go too far on this issue. Any fierce competitor should be a bad loser. I just think he's making an excuse for his coaching staff not performing as well as Harbaughs did.

I get what you are saying. I've had excellent coaches who were terrible losers. But they never played the excuse or blame game on anyone but themselves. Their opinion was always if the game is decided on an official's call, then you didn't do enough to win the game yourself.

They do offer first and ask questions later though.

A bad loser doesnt refer to acting like a brat or an arse . I think Knute and later woody "I will show you a busboy" ( woody actually was a pitiful loser and his career ended that way) i think Knute meant a "good winner" refers to being "content" or "ok" with losing. A bad loser doesnt makr excuses for themselves . Accountability and a desire to never settle for failure that is a bad loser to me . Not acting like Shaw & Harbaugh . IMHO

I almost feel bad for his level of butt-hurtness. Shaw is quickly gaining ground on D'Antonio, Meyer, Kiffin, and Bielema for douchiest coach.

Both schools are in the top 20... That is like Harvard and Yale talking about which is better. Doesnt really matter, they are both good. When it comes to D1 football, ND and Stanford are at the top... On the flip side of the spectrum, this is like debating which SEC school (outside of Vandy) has the best academics... who the hell cares, they both suck balls.

Stanford is harder to get into than Notre Dame. It is what it is.

 

There are guys on our team that got, or would have gotten, rejected by Stanford.

 

I don't see Coach Shaw using it as an excuse. He was asked a question and he answered honestly.

Yeah, nothing to see here. He's absolutely right. Notre Dame does offer Letters of Intent, while Stanford keeps it verbal, and makes it VERY well known that you have to apply to get in. Troy Niklas got the stiff arm, which contributed to him coming to ND.

 

They're both great schools, one has a tougher admissions standard, particularly for football players. The dude is salty as all get out after losing - it is what it is.

The real point is, WGAS unless you're an ND alumn who was rejected from Stanford.
