Just now on College Football Live he said, "the score should have been 21-13 at half of the Miami game because Miami dropped three touchdown passes in that first half."

Does he, or anyone at ESPN, actually watch the games?

First, there were only two "dropped touchdowns" and they happened ON THE SAME DRIVE. You can't score twice on the same drive.

So, okay, I'll give them 13-10 at half, maybe. But that still makes its 41-10 game. Give me a break and at least do some homework if you're going to go on national TV and spout off about what a game should have been.

He also said ND's secondary hasn't faced a passing team all year. Oh, you mean like Miami that put up almost 600 yards through the air the previous game?

Sounds like something a "Michigan Man" would say

Don't you know? Teams are only good before they play Notre Dame. Once they lose, they are no longer what they were.

I'm sick of these excuses. I used to make em all the time if we didn't fumble or throw the picks in the red zone... blah blah blah. If ifs and buts were candy and nuts we'd all have a merry christmas. The good teams don't drop passes, they don't throw picks or fumble the ball, no excuses.

No doubt....the only time I could see making an excuse is if its the last play of the game or at least close to the end of the game, not the first drive of a 41-3 drubbing. What I can't stand is Michigan fans still trying to say they would have won if denard didn't just throw the ball right to us (they don't mention the pressure in his face causing the throws) when we all know our gameplan changes if they ever show the ability to score on our defense

sounds like what some people would say on the ND boards as well.

consider the source. he never lived up to his father's level and is now a college football expert???

We have been making similar excuses for our losses to Michigan for the past three years...

I am glad to see Michigan disappearing off the schedule, somehow ND always manages to play to the absolute worst of their abilities whenever they see Michigan. Good riddance. It's just too bad they are ahead in the series, that's the only part that bothers me about not playing them anymore. They are just bad mojo for ND.

did he replace Lou? I don't see Lou on as much, and Brian seems to be along side Mark May.

The other team we seem to play poor against (at least Lou always seemed to lay a turd against) was Stanford. I think it was Walsh or something....

The 2009-2011 games vs. Michigan came down to the final 30 seconds with an average margin of defeat at around 3 points.

Miami wasn't even close after those two drops (on the same drive)...you don't say it would have been a different game, blah blah, because of 2 drops on the first 4 passes of a game where you lost 41-3...even Miami fans know that (I read some of their threads after the game)

yea, I think that scary stat I saw was that we are 0 and 5 against Stanford when they're ranked

Yeah :( Stanford has definitely had our number lately.

I was more referring to the Michigan series, not the Miami Griese comments.

Exactly, I have no problem with stating an opinion such as, "I don't see this team going undefeated the rest of the year" or "Team A doesn't match up well with team B", but to blatantly distort facts to try and support your opinion is just lazy and bad reporting.

Yes - bush league

Wow - I did not know that. I'm sure Brian has mentioned that as a motivation factor. I read all the comments about expected a very tough, hard fought game -- where the toughest team will win.
