Talked about it on SportCenter a couple minutes ago... This is only the draft ELIGIBLE players (so you wont see Tuitt on this list)

Offense:

Tyler Eifert (5th year available)

Cierre Wood (5th year available)

Theo Riddick

T.J. Jones (Junior)

Braxton Cave

Mike Golic

Defense/ST:

Manti Te'o

Prince Shembo (Junior)

Louis Nix (Junior)

KLM

Jarmoris Slaughter

Zeke Motta

Jordan Cowart (LS)

Nick Tausch (PK)

Two things I noticed

1) Lack of Chris Watt and Zack Martin

2) I think Zeke Motta may be higher than people thought at the beginning of the year. I could see him being a 3rd round pick.

I like the way Motta has come alive this year. I think he has always been fairly solid, but he is playing with speed and aggression this year. He is responsible for a ton of big hits. He reminds me of Jamoris last year.

We seem to be making a name for developing Safety's....

Seems like an oversight to not have Martin on there. He'll have a long NFL career — especially when they mention Golic.

I could've gave you that list.

So where do they project each of those guys? That is where Kiper & McGay earn their money.

Right? Apparently to be an NFL "draft expert" you just need to list all of the upper class starters on various teams.

The only way Golic gets drafted or even put on that list is because of his name. Or maybe McShay can see into the future and sees Golic becoming about 10 times the player he is today.

My big takeaway from that segment was what McShay pointed out regarding the DLine talent. I believe he said that ND has had 6 draft picks from the defensive front seven over the last decade. If you count Tuitt (not yet eligible for draft) they now have 5 he'd grade as draftable right now.

If Cierre stays another year i think he could be a first or second round pick.

If he finishes the year strong i think leaving this year would be his best decision. Running backs have a short shelf life...teams may like that he hasnt been over worked in college so that he may have a longer life in the pros.

You raise some good points here. It will be interesting to see what his draft grade is at the end of the year. From a numbers perspective if staying one extra year at ND moves him from the second round into the first he could be looking at a huge signing bonus difference and a huge 5th year option salary.

Second round, third round, he could be looking at 4 years around league minimum and then hope for a good pickup after. It all depends on draft grade at year's end.

I think Motta bloomed too late. If he had another year, he'd be in the conversation. Nick Fairly did it in one year, but he was a game changer from start to finish.

If Cierre stays another year i think he could be a first or second round pick.

no chance, i doubt he even gets drafted at this point. (hes looking at a 5-7 rd. grade currently)

McShay has 15 rated.

This may be our window Bc if Shembo, Nix, and Tuitt get graded high enough they're gone.

Tuitt is only a soph: he can't leave until next year. I really want to see Nix stay and get the diploma, which is very underrated esp given the incidence of bankruptcy for players just a couple years after retirement.

What are you basing this off? I doubt it's his game film which is a lot better than most running backs you see. He isn't a product of a great o-line and just running behind them. He has great vision, great cutback ability, shiftiness, and can stop and start very quick. Never seen a problem with his blocking either.

I would say Wood, right now, is anywhere from a 3rd to 5th round guy...

youd be wrong.

hes 6-7 on cbs

and undfrafted on scout

hes small.

fumbles often.

doesnt have elite speed (like GA3).

most NFL teams are not drafting RBs his size (and he has never played slot/WR)

he also doesnt play ST.

also, character issues with the weed.

not sure, besides playing for notre dame ,that there is any evidence that supports wood being a high round draft pick. one does not get drafted high for being "shifty"

First off since when is 6'0 and 200 lbs small for a runningback? He's bigger than most nfl backs and wouldn't be surprised to see him at 220 by next year. Not many have elite speed like atkinson but look at the tape wood outruns defensive backs, and since when does he fumble often. You have no evidence here, I'm looking at tape and by next year wood could be a first or second rounder, forsure third rounder.
