Anyone got a list? I'm especially curious as to who the two USC commits are that are visiting. Ty Isaac? With how ND and USC have had their seasons go so far I wouldn't be surprised if a win at USC flips him to us.

Max Redfield and Chris Hawkins. Both DB's.

Isaac Savaiinaea, as well.

Also a handful of 2014 recruits headlined by CA QB Brandon Dawkins, our priority target at the position next year.

DB Chris Hawkins (USC Verbal), DB Max Redfield (USC Verbal), LB Isaac Savaiinaea (Offer)

2014:

QB Brandon Dawkins (Offer), ATH Terry Googer (Offer), WR Nathan Hall, WR Josh Malone, ATH Tommy Mister (Offer), WR Austin Roberts, TE/DE Blake Williams

I haven't seen confirmation that Delano Hill or Jayru Campbell will be there yet

Bivin will be there

Hell of a finish and an atmosphere for these recruits to experience. Can't wait to hear what they thought!

this......what an environment for recruits, who wouldn't wanna be part of something like today

I don't know about the commits who were visiting for the Stanford game but that defensive showing will be big for us with recruits I believe.

I wonder how the DB recruits feel because the young DB's we have are playing relatively well, I wonder if that whole Early Playing Time pitch may not be there any more

I would think a legitimate highly ranked recruit such as Redfield or other higher 4-5 star guys would think they can take spots away. That is just my opinion as you would have to have a little cockiness to play the position at the elite level.

I think our corners are playing better then last year's corners. No longer worried about the defensive backs.

Regarding the two USC guys, remember that we are now going up against Kiffin and Ogeron. Recruiting doesnt get any dirtier than these two. If one of them was interested, i would not be shocked at all if the other was here to baby sit and keep whispering in his ear about song girls and weather.

You know what, I'm really ok and happy that essentially the two USC guys visited together, and essentially alone. Since the Cass Tech guys couldn't make it, they were here with Isaac Savaiinaea, and then younger guys. They won't be able to poison a ton of this years guys that we need. IF, that's what they were going to do.

The DB that come in will get playing time - it is simply a numbers game with our shallow depth.

Oh yeah. Definitely.

Two things.

1) Keep in mind that if Kelly and Company feel that Russell is still a better weapon on offense, they may move him back over at some point in the future. Remember that Reggie Brooks, future All-American at RB, started out on defense until his Junior year because we were so ungodly deep at RB.

2) Apparently, Matt Kemp and Torii Hunter, Sr. were backstage for Gameday on campus all day long. Never hurts to have great athletes and celebrities like Vince Vaughn hang out on campus and surround your program. You see what guys like Snoop, Will Ferrell, and OJ Simpson (oops) were able to do for USC during the Carroll years.

really, what makes you think that???8-);)

I know you're kidding, but there is no shame in congratulating our whole backfield for playing lights out. Motta, Farley, Jackson, Russell, Atkinson, and Shumate have all done their jobs very well. Kudos to Coaches Diaco, for the overall scheme and the LB's; Elston, for that stout D line; Cooks, for the young CB's; and Elliott, for the safeties. Every component in this D adds value to the whole. Amen to all that.

I can honestly say that I thought our Db's were going to be our weakness this year. especially after sgt slaughter dropped. Wow, I think Farley will be a first rounder and Bennett Jackson and Keivarae are playing with swagger. Zeke and Spond just like seeing if they can decapitate people. I'm impressed. Ive never seen this many guys playing different positions than they were recruited and excelling.

Very impressed with the secondary these past few games. Just amazing so far.

Is it too much to say that it's been on par with the rest of the defense in the last 2-3 games???? And if you can say that, isn't it an amazing thing?????

I feel really bad for Slaughter....this kid is an amazing player and had an unfortunate injury as a senior. Very impressed with Farley, that kid is a stud...:thumb:
