LOL. Either just beat tired or thought there was an offside penalty.

WTF? EVen if he thought it was offsides. I think u'd get out of ur stance a little quicker than he did.

He doesn't even come out of his stance once the QB passes him on the run. C'mon maaaan.

There has to be an explanation for this. Did anyone interview him after the game?

I was thinking he probably thought a trick play was called

Yeah. They've done this a couple times. Their O-Line coach is an old Army guy that is focused on discipline. He's trained his O-Line that if the guy across from them jumps off-sides, they DON'T MOVE A MUSCLE during the play to show that they didn't false start.

Still sounds crazy to me, as it only leaves your QB up to be killed on a free play, but apparently they do this for a reason.

There was another play a while back for FSU where NONE of the offensive line moved an inch during an off-sides play. Almost killed their QB.

I was in Army and I recognize this not as discipline, but rather the old adage get your sleep wherever and whenever you can. Looks to be like some Ambien Zombie football. That guy was probably so deeply asleep that he didn't even hear EJ Manuel running past screaming for help.

Wow. Following coaches orders. The one answer I would never have expected.

He may have shat himself....

LOL. That makes perfect sense. There is no special training about how to handle a sudden pants pooping.

Maybe he saw a hot chick and didn't have a textbook handy to cover it up?

Yep. I remember volunteering to do pmcs on the humvees and deuce-and-halves just so I could check for oil leaks and fall asleep in the shade.....good times

Haha this made me laugh. I deal with this all the time in the field! It's amazing how fast you can fall asleep and what a five minute cat nap can do for you! Haha

I remember the first time I saw it I thought it was fake. I didn't see it live. I was sent an mpeg or similarly formatted video clip.

Does anybody know the aftermath of that? Somebody had to bring that up in a presser after the game.

"Never stand when you can sit, never sit when you can lie down, never stay awake when you can sleep."

He should have lain down, and assumed the fetal position until the refs finished straightening it all out. :faint:

And, anything can be used as a pillow.

My tested and true method was to crawl under my rack and hook my fingers up into the springs and pretend like I was tightening up the covers on my bunk. That and sleeping in chapel got me through basic training and AIT.
