Why the heck was College Gameday uninvited during the Weis regime?

 

i'm asking because I remember all the chatter when they didn't come for the showdown vs. USC in '09 and we were saying how College Gameday is biased.

 

It turns out they wanted to come back all along, but Weis' regime told them not to come back?

All I can say is I am glad Charlie is gone. I bought into his plans for a while, but he didn't know how to run the ball and his recruiting fell short after a pretty good start.

Charlie could get the star player, but he had a bad overall recruiting strategy. Didn't seem to get how to fit the pieces together for a roster.

I'm not sure if it was just Charlie or the administration as well due the drunken rant at the ESPN Roast where the gal from ESPN, scUM grad, tore into ND, didn't say some nice things about Jesus etc...referenced Weis but obviously do not remember all the details but recall ESPN had to issue a formal apology etc...anyone with a better memory than me?

She's an absolute blathering idiot of a Michigan grad. But in all fairness, she did say "*@$# TOUCHDOWN Jesus....." I'd hope even a fool like her wouldn't make such a blasphemous statement of simply "#$*@ JESUS".

Correct. Charlie could recruit players, but he couldn't recruit a team. Kelly seems to be able to do both, right now, by properly filling out the roster, covering holes, and still recruiting some darned good individual players like Tuitt, Day, Lynch, etc. Heck, even when he got screwed on guys like Lynch, he seemed to have backups ready to plug in in Day and Springman with no worries.

Yes, they were. Of course, the OP is referring to a later game, so apparently the Weis regime changed their attitude towards Gameday.

I'm not too sure about this. There really wasn't a time after that game that college gameday would have came to ND. from 2007-2009 we were not very good.
