I think they should have adjusted the momentum meter to be not as hard to beat, and not have the receivers nabbing 3 one-handers each game. What are your thoughts?

There is some ridiculousness, but that happens in every video game. Every time they try and make things cooler they make it outrageous.

I do like the game, however. It's very smooth, there aren't a ridiculous number of dropped passes like last year and the third-person on kick and punt returns cuts down on the 3-4 return TDs a game.

PLUS - James Aldridge is a 90-overall impact player as a redshirt freshman ... too bad Darius is a 99, it's going to be hard to get JA his touches

Yeah I made Darius a little slower, because seriously in the game they made him fast!

here are my concerns:

-all-american is to easy, but heisman level is really tough

-too many 1-hand catches

-i cant see to well with the 3rd person camera view

-to easy to get momentum

-the momentum doesnt really do much for you

-that on defense you cant switch back on players...there is only 1 button

-the FG thing

my god...its gonna take me like a month to get to the elite level, thats a long time for me.

and yes im the college football king....there i said it.

i think the 360 version is great but has some flaws such as edit players whitch is a big disappointment such as for some reason i dont know why if they can get walkers facemask and everything else right he wearing long sleeves???? dont like that but otherwise it has an amazing look and great gameplay!!!! :D .....but i havwnt played the ps2/xbox version yet

Yeah, seriously, what's up with all of those long sleeves on the players?

i am so f- ing mad right now. i just finished the regular season with 57 td passes, and 4700 yards and finished second in the heisman to troy smith who threw 47 td's and 3200 yards and lost to michigan. i went undefeated, dont know how that works out, zimmy was the thorpe winner, brady won the maxwell, and the shark won the blinikoff. still have to play oklahoma for all the marbles, just thought i would share my dissapointment with everyone.

PS2 version Walker's equipment is right. I've found this game harder than the other ones. First year I lost 3 of first 6, end up going 9-3, then one play away from winning the Fiesta Bowl (threw an interception on their 5 yard line with the lead they come back and beat me, played Oklahoma). 2007 I start Zach at QB, go 0-2 losing to GT (second year in a row) and Purdue by a last second field goal. I replaced Zach with DD and I've beat #8 Michigan 38-0 and Michigan State 28-0.

What have you guys done in your dynasties?

Hey irish34, you only came one TD short of Jimmy Clausen's TDs in his sophomore season!

I was 13-0 and won the NC in my first year. Quinn and Samardzija were 2-3 in the Heisman behind Adrian Peterson but got back at him with a win over OU in the title game. Recruited the top class in the nation and haven't started the second season yet. But, if you see my previous post, I'm rather excited to start up with the stable of running backs I have built up.

BTW - Saw Shark pitch in Lansing Sunday. He had a rough first inning (3 runs and some control problems) and took the loss, but he only gave up one hit and one walk over the next four innings. There was more ND apparel in the stands than the local team, it was crazy. After the game, he signed a ton of autographs, my 12-year-old brother got one. Good times had by all.

Cool, have you met Zibby? I've met him and John Sullivan on my visit to Notre Dame last summer. It's funny I remember when I met him he had long hair, I barely remember him when he had long hair.

In my dynasty I lost to Georgia Tech, but then came back with 11 more wins and the NC. Plus Brady won the Heisman, but only by 50 points. Recruited by far the best class in the nation, with 13 5-stars and 12 4-stars. Just started my second season with 2 wins, and my quarterback is incoming freshman Chad Hayden, the no. 1 overall prospect. He has 92 speed, and is 86 overall. It's the best freshman I've seen that I didn't create.

kgreen, did you get the game for the 360?

Oh yeah, and Samardzija won the Heisman for me.

kgreen, did you get the game for the 360?

No, too broke to afford the 360. I've played it other places though, and the graphics are sweet.

How do you create a prospect?

After the season, but before you enter recruiting, go to the rosters/playbooks menu. There should be a new option at the top called Create-A-Prospect.

With it you can create the recruits appearance, information, and stats.

You need to remember that you won't automatically get them though, so I recommend putting them in South Bend, but even then it's not for sure. I was bored so I created a 99 in everything reciever, and he chose Auburn.

Can you do it before your first dynasty season?

no you cant

i went undefeated in my first season and beat the buckeyes in the championship game 41-27.

walker left on me, so now my qb is frazier and my rb is aldridge

Gameplay question:

The question I wanted to ask is if anyone's ever experienced what I call the "underdog" factor? I suspected this sort of gameplay for the past few years, but became officially convinced it existed during a game against Duke. I was of course a HEAVY favorite, yet the game was back and forth most of the way.

My all 90 offensive line was getting blown up by subpar defensive linemen, Walker and Aldridge couldn't get out of the backfield, Abriamari (95 rated or so) couldn't beat the rented mule of a right tackle to save his life. This is incredibly frustrating. I understand they do it to make the game more exciting, but there's no way Quinn throws 5 interceptions in any game let alone against DOOK.

The other frustrating thing is that you never know when to expect it. I've found it to occur more often when I am a heavy favorite, but even in some games where I'm evenly matched I can play the perfect game and end up throwing the ps2 against the wall.

My own experiences:

I'm sure most people don't care. But I invest a ton of time before I even play a game. I went ahead and named the players, got rid of Wolke (actually turned him into Paddy - that was funny), created a few more they neglected from this year's class (safeties, linebackers, etc). The thing that kills me is the 70 man roster. I have no idea why they do that when the NCAA allows 85 scholarships plus walkons, but who knows.

I got through my first season, and then created Clausen, Kamara, and the rest of the commits PLUS a handful of the big name players we're going after (Benn, Austin, etc). It's very hard to fine tune the ratings especially for players I have never seen.

Sadly, during my third season I got a little bored and switched over to the Campus Legend mode. I am a 99 rated QB for Navy with a 3.7 GPA, 100% campus popularity, and a Heisman who led the Middies to a victory over Notre Dame for the first time in 40+ years my sophomore year. I am currently in the middle of my 2nd undefeated season (junior year) and I am not even in the top 15. The game is remarkably more challenging when you can't set your own schedule (Navy's schedule is what prevents me from climbing in the rankings) and you can't recruit any players you want.

Bluester I got the same thing against underdogs. It's rIdiculous because I beat #8 Michigan 38-0 and lose to Fresno State.

I don't really like Legend mode. Many think they should delete it and make Dynasty twice as good.
