He who shall not be named #19 was still here?

I'm over Lynch. Who cares about him? He lost out on a chance to play for a real winner and to be a man.

Agreed. Lynch is a pussy who couldn't hack it at ND.

Ooooh that 19, duh. Kinda forgot about him because of some guys named Tuitt, Day, Springman, KLM, and Nix.

A football team is more than just Saturdays. Lynch never had a great attitude and who is to say the team chemistry would be this great if he was still there?

On paper yeah you could say it'd be nice if he was wearing a uniform, but him being at practice everyday and in the locker room... I don't know if him detracting from this team unity would be worth it.

The kid went back home to take care of his soon to be child...c'mon man

If Lynch had managed to keep from being locker room cancer, then he would have been an incredible addition to this defense. For all his immaturity and antics, the man can play and would have made double teaming Tuitt suicide. A rotation of Day, Lynch, Springman, and Tuitt with Schemke and Nix spelling each other woul0d make wearing down the Irish an exercise in futility.

Anyway, with a defense that has not surrendered a single TD to Michigan State, Michigan and Miami (all teams with legitimate offensive talent AND playmakers that we would welcome to our own team) I think I can handle his absence OK...

we probably would have lost a game due to an untimely personal foul

Ding, ding, ding! Loved what Lynch brought to the table but he was something of a loose cannon that probably gave almost as many yards to the opposition from penalties as he subtracted via sacks. That doesn't mean he wouldn't have matured and refined that aspect of his game over time but we'll never know.

That said, I love the group of players we have who seem to be well bonded and if he in any way contributed a negative vibe to that bond, the defense may not be playing the way they are now.

I wish him well regardless. Everyone has choices to make and I hope his works out for him.

I think the guy was a cancer inthe locker room. It is pretty evident we are better without him. Either from his actions or the coaching staffs actions on how they handled him or let him act.

She wasn't preggo. He's a pussy.

A lot of the players have mentioned this is a special team. Wonder if they would say the same if Lynch were here. I don't think the defense would be as good if he were here because he was so divisive.

That's what I'm wondering...

Can we try and refrain from calling kids "pussy" or any other insulting names? We sound like SEC fans when we do that. One of the reasons I love DD so much and being an Irish fan in general is our incredible fan base. I don't mean to lecture.

I can get behind that. We can't pretend to know what that man was dealing with that caused him to leave. It's funny to me how one of the tenets of the belief system shared by many, many on this site is to not judge/throw stones in a glass house, yet that's exactly what happens in a lot of cases, especially where Lynch is concerned.

This D-line is already scary as hell... I couldn't imagine if we tossed lynch in there too. I agree about the personal foul ... You could tell he was from Florida!
