I'll have to say I am disappointed if this is true. I was hoping to see Golson bounce back...

Better not be true. Hearing all types of stuff. From a grades issue with Golson or possibly a shoulder one. Either way, I really really hope Everett starts tonight. Rees is not talented to take this team to where it wants to go. Golson is. Colossal mistake if true and and for unjustified reason (non injury etc.)

This, of course, renders all score predictions null and void.

How about the one where the coach just feels more comfortable with tommy?

Where there's smoke fellas.

On #NotreDame QB hubbub: As of this morning, Tommy Rees had not been told by coaches he was starting vs. Miami, per a source.

The longer this goes on the more you gotta believe its Rees...in all honesty based on what we've seen Rees probably gives us the best chance to win now...I was hoping Golson would show what he could do tonight but Rees last year minus the turnovers lead us to a lot of points and he hasn't turned over the ball yet this year

Golson is not the player everyone envisioned. I seen crist run the read option more effectively today.

I'd bet money rees gets the start

This is absurd. Kelly said directly after the Michigan victory and Thursday's practice that Golson was starting. Either something major happened, Kelly's lying and doesn't care, or Arnold is full of bs. Either way, this is getting ridiculous. Kelly has to stick with Golson flat out. Going to be livid if Rees starts over Golson for some assinine Brian Kelly "gut" feeling.

i don't care if it's Muhammad "i'm hard" Bruce Lee under center...

How ever can get us the W has my support

'Reese'?

Pee Wee?

The guy he replaced last year threw 1 TD, 3 INTs and fumbled once today.

Ughh... Really hoping this is not true. Not to knock Tommy, I appreciate all of his efforts for us. I just know what we have with him, limited play book because he lacks mobility and arm strength. I want it to click for Golson, just let him get out there and play on instinct. He is playing scared, instead of just using his god given talent. I'll be upset if Tommy comes out first- if that happens, miami stacks the box, plays press coverage, and let's there speed get in the backfield. Tommy will be ineffective and we will have zero running game.

I said in the other thread that Golson has not played that great this year, and hasnt really earned the chance to start unopposed by Rees. However, it makes sense to start Golson, because if he struggles, we can always put Rees in the game as we did against Purdue and Michigan. If Rees starts and struggles, I dont know how we can put Golson in, considering his closer would have already shit his pants.

He's a redshirt freshman who's 4-0 starting. What the heck else do you want? That is the only stat that matters. His talent and potential are through the roof. I could give a damn less about Rees' experience or knowing the offense.

Golson > Rees: Any day of the week. Period. End of story.

Funny but that also described Rees at one point (minus the red shirt part)

Have you convientently forgotten Rees throwing the game away v. Tulsa 2010? Or how badly he played last year v. BC or FSU? Man, will Kelly ever give Golson a fair shake? Think he's rubbing off on some of you- seriously.
