114th in Total Defense---If the offense doesn't show we don't deserve 5-0!

Recommended Posts

Yes thats right 114th in total defense----

They have a pretty good offense make no mistake--and they certainly can score points--especially if you give them lots of possessions---turnovers--field position---then even OUR DEFENSE would have trouble keeping down the scoring under those circumstances.

But for goodness sakes---IF OUR OFFENSE DOES NOT SHOW UP AGAINST THE 114th RANKED DEFENSE WE SIMPLY DO NOT DESERVE TO BE TOP TEN AND 5-0!

We had offense only against NAVY---we give credit to both purdue & MSU for having damn good defenses that gave us problem---

THE EXCUSE AGAINST MICHIGAN???---There is NONE!----Beyond Everett deciding to take the night off , things were not much better with Tommy---hardly a first down in quarter three---13 lousy points---No yardage to speak of---WE SUCKED ON OFFENSE THE WHOLE GAME AGAINST A VERY AVERAGE DEFENSE!

Well miami is not AVERAGE--they are WAAAAY BELOW AVERAGE----If we TRULY have a shot at BCS---a shot at teams like Oklahoma & USC & STANFORD---a shot at winning against all the remaining "weaker teams"---WE CANNOT ONLY PLAY DEFENSE!

Defense wins championships--lots to that--but thats assuming there is a FREAKIN OFFENSE of some kind!

Coach needs to wake this offense up---needs to exploit the many Miami deficiencies---score over 30 points---move the ball BOTH PASSING & RUNNING!

SHOW US AN OFFENSE AND THIS TEAM WILL BE HARD TO BEAT BY ANYBODY___RELY ON 13 -20 POINTS TO GET YOU WINS & THE ROOF WILL FALL IN EVETUALLY!

Time to play some football from the other side of the line of scrimmage---PROPS TO ONE ON THE NATIONS BEST DEFENSES---Now lets keep them from being all alone on the field!

Aloha's go irish!

This game sets up perfectly for the development of young Mr. Golson. Miami does return a starting middle linebacker, but they were bashed by North Carolina State for over 600 yards. In fact, if not for about 6 turnovers, State would have won the game.

We do need to open up this offense this week. Let's show teams what will happen if they stack the box. Is it time for Chris Brown to actually catch a pass when he gets open deep. I've seen him wide open on 3 occassions.

We can't expect our D to do everything. The offense will have to carry some of the burden. Purdue just allowed marshall to score 41 on them. MSU is really the only team we've played with a formidable D.

If coach plans on using tommy to save the day, The offensive gameplan better have accounted for it and installed some plays suited for Tommy.
