Watching CFDaily and two of the polls have

Oregon State #1

Notre Dame #2

Florida #3

Now, before you go all haywire, remember this is the computer and there is no bias. The computers base this on the body of work SO FAR and I am sorry, but if you think Alabama has the body of work over Oregon State, Notre Dame, and Florida (#3), then you are crazy. Alabama also has a crazy WEAK schedule. I thought it was interesting and it just goes to show you that if ND goes 12-0, there is NO WAY they are left out of the NCS.

And if Denard had not played the worst game of his career against us, he likely would've posted 2 or 3 TDs in the first half.

And prior to the game against us the Alabama game was the worst of his career. But Alabama had everything to do with that and against us, we had nothing to do with it.

Ha. Hilarious. Did you watch the Alabama/Michigan game? Denard was just as bad, he was even so much worse, no one could catch most of his passes.

Look at his first INT. Looks like Miliner is running a fly route for him. Look at the one returned for a TD, it was worse than the first one he through to Manti.

Besides, you are missing my point. I'm not comparing ND's defense to Alabama's. Alabama's is better.

The point is the narrative after those games I pointed out.

After Alabama's defense shut down Denard, the talk was how they lost 5 NFLers but didn't miss a beat. Could this defense be even better than last year, etc. etc.

ND has a similar performance and while they were praised, I didn't hear anyone comparing them to Alabama, it was as much Denard as ND.

Then Alabama beats Arkansas without Tyler Wilson, and again, Alabama is an unstoppable force. Who can beat them. The gap between them and #2 is huge.

After Texas A&M beats Arkansas by a similar score, with Tyler Wilson mind you, the talk is how far Arkansas has fallen, how bad John Smith is etc.

The moral is, Alabama is good. But they aren't so good that everyone else is playing for second place.

I agree with Corysold. Alabama can be beaten. They lost one of their starters last week and the backup tailback. Each week teams will develop and hopefully we get a lot better on offense. We are still getting better on defense. Some teams are going to lose their quarterback at some point. In this day and age you better be able to throw the football. We're in the mix. Plain and simple. Let's beat Miami, get better, and then go after a one dimensional Stanford team at home.

Maybe none of his receivers could catch his passes against Bama, but he still tossed 5 INTs to us. The reason we weren't praised was because it was apparent that the turnovers were the result of his poor decisions and not due to exceptional coverage. I actually agree that Bama can be beaten---just not by us. With 2 impact players gone or the season, I'd say they are particularly vulnerable.

The turnovers were, in a large part, due to the heat he had in his face all night long.

Can't argue with that.

Ditto for the other INT. Full steam Manti heading at the halfback -

F it! Get rid of that ball and maybe you live.

So if Alabama limits Denard, it is because Alabama's defense is so good, but if Notre Dame limits Denard, it is because Denard simply had a bad game... There is a Notre Dame fan for you. :)

I really wish the undefeated talk would stop. Just play week to week and it will shake out.

I think it has become apparent that people on ND forums are tired of this talk... We are NOT the team, we can look ahead and talk about what we want to talk about because it will not effect the team in any way. This is a forum and we are allowed to talk about the hypothetical... comments like "We need to focus on Miami first" are simply spam, I dont need to focus on Miami at all, and ND will be just as prepared to beat them.

NO! I was frankly upset that we talked about anything other than the Navy game post blue/gold game to begin with.

Pre-season predictions?

Talking about what what our future opponents are doing?

Want to bring up what we did in past games? Aw hell no. Only focus on Miami or

We as a fanbase need to have the exact same tunnel vision that the coaching staff and players have. If you don't; wear your lucky boxers, eat your piss marinated cornflakes, focus exclusively on the game ahead, know that if we win, it's what the other team did wrong and that if we lose, it's squarely on what we did wrong, then you need to check yourself.

Get your head in the game Hoosier. Be a realist and conform already.

Very glad I could help you with a good laugh. I hope everything turns out for the best

what does a computer know!

... he indignantly typed into his computer.

Then he looked at his monitor. Instead of the words he had entered, all he saw was "EVERYTHING" in Size 24 Rockwell Extra Bold font. He stood up, and very slowly moved away from his desk. He collected a few necessities, and left his home, never to return again to civilization.

Two days later, the robot revolution began... ;)

I get what you're saying but you can't ignore that he threw twice as many INTs against us than he did against Bama. Similar stats except for that.

Why do you think he threw those INTs? Did the pressure from ND have anything to do with it? He threw one when he bailed out with Manti bearing down on him. Similar yards not stats. He threw for 2 TDs against Bama he didn't throw (or rush) for any against ND. Michigan also had their leading RB playing against ND. Alabama didn't have to worry about the threat of a RB. When was the last time a Denard led Michigan didn't score a TD?

This reminds me of the thread about Harrison and Jacori. Credit is due where you feel it should be placed. If our secondary is somewhat formidable, they will be able to limit Oklahoma and USC.
