Watching CFDaily and two of the polls have

Oregon State #1

Notre Dame #2

Florida #3

Now, before you go all haywire, remember this is the computer and there is no bias. The computers base this on the body of work SO FAR and I am sorry, but if you think Alabama has the body of work over Oregon State, Notre Dame, and Florida (#3), then you are crazy. Alabama also has a crazy WEAK schedule. I thought it was interesting and it just goes to show you that if ND goes 12-0, there is NO WAY they are left out of the NCS.

I don't like being in the bubble busting business, but our strength of schedule will only go DOWN from here based on attrition and the flaying nature of the Big Integer (from which our two victories over "top 20 teams" come) and the vulnerability of our remaining marquee games (Stanford, USC and OU could ALL end up with 3 or more losses easily).

But really, if we shit the bed against Miami and allow them to hang around and possibly steal a win with big plays on busted assignments, its all for naught and we will drop all the way down to the low 20's again...

Alabama has also played W. Kentucky, Florida Atlantic and 1-4 Arkansas.

true but lets not kid ourselves.. bama would beat ND handily. we all know it. now if the offense picks up and starts scoring some points i might believe ND would have a chance against bama but as of right now, no way!

I don't think anyone would argue that point, but this was talking about the computer polls. They jsut look at who they've beaten so far, and the strength of those teams. If you look on paper, no Alabama isn't that strong, but if you throw the paper away, and are able to actually watch them play, then that is a completely different story. This is why there are computer polls and human polls.

Are you 100% on that?

Alabama held Michigan to 14 points. ND gave up 6.

Alabama beat Arkansas 52-0. Texas A&M beat Arkansas 58-10.

Alabama beat Ole Miss 33-14. Texas beat Ole Miss 66-31.

Alabama has looked good, but they are beating teams in a much similar way to other good teams.

This is nothing but good news. Seriously, other teams play the directional cupcakes and it may cost them. I really wanted Michigan State to beat Ohio State, and they should have, but if we keep winning I think we are in.

Yes. I am certain Alabama would beat us. You are a completely delusional homer if you think they would not. Let's be real here...

I agree. Alabama would probably beat ND. My point is, Alabama is seen as this unbeatable juggernaut, when in reality they are doing to teams the same thing other top 25 teams are doing.

Everyone saw Alabama beat Arkansas 52-0, without Tyler Wilson, and thinks no way they could be beaten, but then Texas A&M beats Arkansas just as bad, when Arkansas had Wilson, and its though it doesn't matter.

Don't get wrong, Alabama is the favorite for the title at this point, but they haven't done anything to convince me they can't be beaten.

just beat miami this saturday. GO IRISH!

that has nothing to do with the thread... except the Go Irish part, that is valid in every thread. :)

If anyone thinks an undefeated Notre Dame doesn't get in the NC game they're crazy. We're Notre Dame. You think they're gonna pass up on that money? That story of a team who has made it back? We don't have to worry about that. We just gotta make sure we win each game. The rest will take care of itself.

GO IRISH. Beat Miami.

I really wish the undefeated talk would stop. Just play week to week and it will shake out. We barely beat Purdue, barely beat Michigan and looked pretty good against MSU. I don't feel ND can play that way all year and not lose two or three games though. The good news is we haven't played great yet and we're undefeated. National Championship talk and undefeated is not conceivable to me unless they start scoring over 24 a game. Eventually we will need an offense or we may be in the tire bowl. Stayed focused on the Miami Hurricanes boys and don't look past any team.

This is a bad way too judge teams. Everybody has certain strengths against all teams and the gameplan could have been way different. Also with injuries and how teams improve or get worse each week plays a role. I used to do this stuff all the time when comparing Notre Dame to other teams in the past but it just doesn't work. We have played the most worthwile schedule and if we run the table will be in the title game no question. I even think Purdue is better than both Michigan teams as we will see.
