Where was his play last year? He is really putting together a good game today. He had a near pick and really had a solid hit to save a Calvin Johnson touchdown. He really has made a go at it, he looks like a first round pick.

Um, he played his way into the first round last year...

Yeah, Harrison had a very solid year last year at ND. He was maybe a 3rd or 4th rounder entering his senior year, and played himself into the end of the 1st. Nothing for us to complain about.

Where was his play last year?.

da fuq am i reading? :pizza:

Can't believe I leaped to his defense :) LOL

Harrison Smith played well and is now a millionaire. $3.6 million signing bonus. $5.8 million guaranteed. 8-)

And that , my friends, is the best recruiting tool

Yes, he did, but he did not play like he had played the first half of the Minn game. My two cents. You guys are entitled your own opinions, he just seemed to play very well this morning. Better than he did at ND. Naturally.

Laughable that some ND fans couldn't see this kid was a ballplayer.

And is the OP really asking where Harry was last year?

I got four words:

All over the field.

The heck??????????????????????????????????????????????????????

I did not see him as a first round talent, that is all I was trying to say aside from paying him a compliment and giving him credit where credit was due. I did not realize that not phrasing it correctly would be like putting a welcome mat right in front of my ass and asking everyone to crawl inside.

So as to end this cheerfully, please allow me to translate my original post:

"Golly gee whiz, Harrison sure does look keen out there. I believe that he looks even better than he did last year at Notre Dame. In addition to his dreamy eyes, he sure has a lot of pep."

Why do new people act like Richards?

Thank you for your opinion. However, almost all people with a football clue had him as a first round.

And the last part of this post, shows your level of interest in ND and Harrison -- i.e. not much in either....

Smith was bounced between linebacker and safety. His last season and a half though were pretty damn good at ND. One of the few bright spots during the 2010 season.

This is a hilarious thred. Had to jump in. How many people were dogging HS thru-out the soph and jr year? He did finally get it together Completely last year. Wish Charlie would have kept him out his fresh year. Thrilled just like everyone here that he is doing well. No one ever questioned his talent level

Sorry, not sure if you were serious...but you do know he spelled those words incorrectly on purpose right?

And btw...Of course Harrison Smith would look better in the NFL...he has NFL caliber training and can just focus on football.

You're SUPPOSED to get better once you reach the NFL; if you don't, then you won't be playing.

And like people said, he was good enough to get picked in the 1st round; not sure what you expected from him his Senior year in college.
