Not that I'd ever say this to his face but Tuitt is a little Mike Tysonesque with his voice...:hurt:

Here is the whole Diaco press conference.

Wow, he was pissed about the Freddie Kruger question. Could tell he was totally caught off guard and not happy that was put out there by the university.

Interesting he didn't know about it. Obviously he doesn't have time to watch ICON, haha.

Yeah, he did not like the locker room talk getting out to the GP. For those of you who want to skip straight to that part, it is at the very end of the video (20:00). He begins by denying it was something he put out to the media, then says, basically, that it was meant to be between the players and coaches; then wonders aloud how it got "out there;" then when he's told that the video was put out there by Jack Nolan and und.com, says, "something from our locker room, that's a shame."

Jack's in trou-ble.

And on a related happy note, it shows me that Diaco still needs a little media relations seasoning before he's ready to take on a HC job. On the other hand, I still fully expect one or two universities to put on the full court Diaco press this offseason if this D continues down this path.

I got the opposite and I am a little worried now... Diaco did not like the university doing what they did, it may encourage him to have his own rules, which would only come as a HC.

I am telling you Diaco, is the prime candidate from the ND staff to leave for a HC job, I really hope ND gives him a nice contract.

He isn't going anywhere yet in my opinion. I think after we win a National Championship we need to worry more but until then being a top DC in the country at Notre Dame is a damn good resume in itself without coaching a lesser-tier team. Why would you leave a school that you are successful at, where you can get top flight talent and where you can compete on the national stage every year? The only way he will give that up IMO is if a big time school comes knocking on his door similar to Muschamp and Florida. If Diaco's defenses keep this up he will be one of the highest paid coordinators in the country which is another security blanket.

I have to agree with Bob on this one.

While I LOVED watching that Michigan State video I was basically thinking: I doubt very seriously the coaches want this out there.

I hope they keep a tighter lid on that kind of video getting out

I'm still not understanding what was so bad about it. It was him congratulating his guys after a big win. He didn't swear, didn't call anyone out, didn't disparage MSU, what is the problem?

I think some coaches feel very strongly that what happens in the locker room should stay in the locker room. My guess is Diaco is one of those coaches.

I don't think anything that was said was bad, obviously, or it wouldn't have been on the video, but Diaco made it very clear that he was not happy that was out there to the general public.

Brian Hardin, I assume is who Diaco is talking to off camera and who answered his question. I wonder what was said in the hallway after that, haha.

That being said, it seems to me there are a lot of cameras in the locker room after the games and before the games, he should know that's part of the deal and some of that will get out.

^ exactly, I dont think anyone has a problem with what was said, but Diaco has a clear problem of what he said getting out to the public.

Loved the Martin interview. He was a huge get for ND and it's obvious he's enjoying himself.

Can picture him sitting with BK in BK's office, both shaking their heads as they reminisce on where they got started and looking at where they are now, 4-0 at Notre Dame!

I will say though, that moment after he looks at Hardin, that is when Lane would have left the building, so he's got that going for him!

For the most part these coaches are all control freaks - and I mean that as a compliment - and they are just not cool with anything beyond the official party line getting out in public.

I've given up trying to figure out why anymore.

But if I were to guess it has a lot to do with how so much of what this team does is out in the public eye and open to public consumption that they are really, really protective of the moments they share amongst themsves

Obviously Bob didn't know a camera was on him so be was free to be himself. If he knows a camera is there on the future it might make him hold back and frankly, inside locker room with his players, he wants the freedom to be himself.

I have to agree with Bob on this one.

The locker room is a sacred place. As much as I too love the videos, I think BK needs to set some limitations on when the cameras can roll.

I thought this was kind of funny and I hope somebody else noticed. When one of the reporters sneezes Diaco fits in a "God bless you" w/ out missing a beat. What a nice guy...

iCON videos went from 10-12 min originally to 7 then 5 , 3, 2....

They just might dissapear altogether

Agree 100 percent

I love watching his interviews. He is very obtuse and peculiar but in a very entertaining and intriguing way. You can tell he is extremely passionate not only for what he does, but for his players.

We should be so lucky to have a whole staff full of Bob Diacos.

I could listen to coach Diaco all day long. This is my favorite defensive coach of all time. We've had some good ones, Davie, Alvarez, Mattison....... I love the way he explains things. Wish I felt like this about our offense.

I think that the reason why he is so pissed is he didn't want Freddy Krueger to know that he was talking about him. Now he is going to have to protect Freddy from Manti. There's really not much more to it...

Besides, everyone knows that Jason Voorhees is the baddest man on the planet.

Not concerned at all about Diaco leaving for a head coaching position. he's in no way ready for it.

Hell, I could coach our front seven and look good.
