OKCIrish99 3
We should score plenty of points against Michigan this Saturday. Run run and run some more. I feel the game plan should be similar to the Navy gameplan with a little more passing. Think this is the game Golson will connect deep more also, although the Goodman one was a nice start. Wood, Riddick, and GAIII should run crazy against the Skunks. Even UMass ran for 150 against them. I really really really want to pound these guys Saturday. The last 3 years against them have been terrible. Redemption Saturday. Go Irish!!! Edited September 17, 2012 by OKCIrish99

OklahomaIrish 0
They will put 8 in the box. We need DaVaris Daniels and Chris Brown. I can't wait to play them. No more weird crap. Just beat them soundly like we should have the last 3 years. Actually I worry more about this game then I did Michigan State. I knew they didn't match up and that quarterbak wasn't going to beat us. It's just that we keep losing to them when we are ten points better~~~well, not this year fellas.

That 4th quarter last year was the biggest bs abberation I've ever seen in a quarter. 2009 they flat out cheated and 2010 was the absurd Denard show. Make no mistake about Denard will run through a wall to beat us. Not going to happen this year. This is the game we need to send an offensive message and score lots of points. That's what it's going to take to beat OU, USC, and BYU.
FaithInIrish Forever 5,571
Bring back Navy gameplan!!!! Two tights take our 3 back and shove this right down skunkbear throat. Keep Denard off the field. Lets physically dominate them!!!

Would love to have a Robert Hughes or Marc Edwards for this one. A merciless bruiser. We'll be fine though but we must dominate time of possession. MantyIrish 0
The more we run, the more the clock ticks, the more Shoelace is NOT on the field. I hope we ram it down their throats....ALL DAY.
OklahomaIrish 0
I think what you will see is actually a more diversified offense. We played very conservatively against Michigan State because we had the lead and they couldn't drive, but we are developing our passing game in practice. If we have DaVaris back he will be part of the game plan. Chris Brown got behind Michigan State's secondary!!look for that against SCUM. hawaiiirish 62
If we can put 20 points up against the MSU defense---we should be able to put 31 up against michigan---we should be able to move the ball both throught the air and on the ground--- That means MR DENARDY will need to lead his team to near 30 points minimum against our defense---- Good luck with that! aloha's

NDhoosier 1,336
I would be surprised if we dont score 30-35 points... Their defense is simply not very good and with a strong running attack to back us up, Golson will be able to sit back and relax and take the shots he wants. I seriously believe our offense will put up big numbers all around, but With Denard, its hard to predict how the defense will do. Denard seems to always break free against us and he always seems to complete the Hail Mary pass. If the defense is as good as I think it is, this should be a blow-out... 35-10. BlackIrish42 0
Denard is the key, obviously. Our D-line actually did a somewhat poor job against Purdue staying in their rush lanes (obviously not including any stunting they did) and allowed Terbush to run somewhat effectively from the QB position. Obviously, we have to be far more disciplined against Denard...
goirish83 0
Keep Denard off the field by using the Navy game plan and dominating time of possession. Use 3 TE's and let our 3 backs have a field day. If they stack the box and are somehow able to shut down the run then ill take eifert in a one on one against anyone on that team. piratey 6
I'd be surprised if Cierre doesn't go for 100. 200 unless the touches are spread to thin for him. Guys, their defensive line is the worst we'll see all year. UMass rushed for 81 yards...against UConn and Indiana combined. They put up 114 on Michigan. They are so hurt on the line, they completely sacrificed their integrity to allow Frank Clark to play. Frank Clark if you didn't know, will be celebrating his one week anniversary of having plead guilty to a felony count of second-degree home invasion. Yes. Michigan is actually fielding a felon on their d-line.

Maybe but Navy is undersized on the line. Michigan is not undersized, they just arent as good... but which is worse, an undersized Navy line, or a Michigan line that simply cannot compete against the good Olines? Wood wont get close to 200 yards because all three backs will get at least 50. I think we will have 200+ rushing yards, but Wood will not get enough carries to get 200 yards. nremdn 34
I think the numbers are a bit skewed considering they have played against one of the best rushing offenses in the nation (Alabama) and a tough triple option team to defend (Air Force, whose offense is almost entirely rushing). I don't think their rush defense will be as porous as everyone is expecting. Will it be the best we face this year? Of course not, but it will also not be the worst. Michigan has had our number as of late and the breaks always seem to fall in their direction against us. Until I see that change, I am always nervous about playing Michigan. Denard always has career games against us and it makes me sick.

That's why they are so horendous. The upperclassmen were all recruited by RR to play in a 3-3-5. His approach was small and fast, which, yes they are small and no they aren't fast. lol. rocket31 0
^ no doubt, i think ppl forget how small rich rod recruited at michigan. he was attempting to run a 3-2-6 or some shit and this is the final result.
nremdn 34
I also want to add that Golic scares me against anyone. He regularly gets shoved around. A lot of the breakdowns on our line seem to start with him. I know they are not all his fault, but he is the glaring hole in a decent but not great offensive line. He scares me going against any player on any team.

Hopefully he is a work in progress.
