Frustrated---anger..

before I get into this let me just say,,I know its ESPN or whoever and that there is a anti ND bias, I know. why watch right. But year after year you hear this crap with the snide remarks that they seem to take pleasure into directing at ND like no other team. A few minutes ago, ESPN was talking about which conference ND would fit in best with and the lady said 'I'd like to see them play in the SEC" Robert Smith could only laugh and say 'why so Vanderbilt could have somebody to dominate.' The anger and frustration comes not due to the fact that these clowns say it, its because they say it year after year and ND can never seem to shut them up. Maybe in my head I have over inflated the talent on this team and this coaching staff this year (I have in the past), but damn, it sure would be nice to go out tomorrow and make a statement and shut these friggin a$$clowns up.

Realistically, a lot of guys, who played at other schools, either couldn't cut it at ND or were so far up the home town U's butt they couldn't see daylight. A lot of it comes from our fans elitist attitude and some of it comes from the University's hypocrisy. Either way, we are an easy target and we have to take some arrows because we are the ONLY school that has our own ticket to the BCS without a conference!

That was kid stuff compared to the "comedy skit" performed this a.m. on their UNITE show. Fake interview with an AfroAmrican "priest" who took some on the edge funny shots @ our joining the ACC however ended his routine by saying "God Bless" the children. Clearly a jab @ our priest scandals but in light of the Penn State issue combined with the work the church has done to restore its reputation, the attempt @ humor was insensitive and in no domain funny. I don't let ESPN get under my skin but this clearly crossed the threshold and would love to see Hardin or Fr. Jenkins demand an apology and put ESPN and Co. on probation from having access to the university and staff/players. Can't understand what producer would see that as funny and allow it to be performed.

I thought it was kind of funny. God forbid anybody ever making a joke about ND.

ND has a chance tonight to get some respect, time to put up or shut up.

there is a difference between a joke and insulting someone and attacking sore wounds. The priest with children joke is an attack on religion, not the university... How come attacking Catholicism is fine, but attacking any other religion is considered insensitive and bigotry. UNITE is run by a bunch of idiots and this was classless.

A joke about ND can be a number of things, irrelevant, conference affiliation, but what they did crossed a line. People who attack Catholicism are hypocrites because they will be the first people to defend other religions when someone takes a jab at them.
