Gettysburg Irish 0
Sounds liek his girlfriend lost a battle against Leukemia. Checking out her Twitter page she seemed like a very inspirational person. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and of course Manti. IanY77 4
Sounds liek his girlfriend lost a battle against Leukemia. Checking out her Twitter page she seemed like a very inspirational person. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and of course Manti. Her Twitter is @lennaykay . Manti shows up in the feed thanking everyone for their thoughts and condolences. I'm sure football's the last thing on his mind right now (as it should be on ours). I know Manti has talked about his faith often. I hope it helps him through this.

AtLeastMySisWasIrish 0
A parent should never have to bury their child. Thoughts, prayers and condolences to all in her life. This a true testament for Manti to be a part of the ND family, brotherhood and spiritual unity in times of strife. God Bless.

AlabamaDuck 0
I am assuming that Manti will not be at the game, who will take his place? Does anyone know if it was his Girlfriend or a girl friend? Edited September 13, 2012 by AlabamaDuck
corysold 0
I am assuming that Manti will not be at the game, who will take his place? Does anyone know if it was his Girlfriend or a girl friend? I wouldn't be surprised, or care, either way. Most tweets are directed at Manti, I'm guessing it was his girlfriend. Gettysburg Irish 0
I almost expect Manti to play but if he doesn't then Moore would take his spot I believe
Pregame 291
I don't know if he goes this weekend (I think he does) but the next time he plays, I think he plays like a man possessed. I'm thinking 10+ tackles, some huge hits and personal foul penalty or two.

SDIrishFan 607
It's times like these that put ones own life into perspective. It's sometimes easy to forget the tragedies others experience that make our own trials and tribulations seem small. My thoughts are with you Manti, as well as with this family. NDBadaBing 0
Truly sorry for the loss, Manti. Going through the tweets, it's obvious you were a source of strength and support for her through her difficult battle, and she in turn was an inspirtation to you. God Bless
Gettysburg Irish 0
according to Turning Point his grandmother passed away as well, I hope he goes home to take care of things there, but if he does play I feel bad for anyone in a MSU uniform.
