Pregame 291
All sports, except football. We will still play 5 ACC games a year. Rumor from buddy tied into a prestigious ACC program.

chirodomer 47
It makes sense for us to go ACC for everything. I love ACC.
irishziggy 18
I'd assume BC and Pitt will be scheduled every year because we've had a rivalry with them in the past. I dont want to see any games at Va Tech, FSU, or Miami (they won't be down for long). If they want to come to ND Stadium then that's fine. I think our Shamrock Series every yr should be against an ACC team. Then we'll prob play 2 home and 2 away every year. That gives us 5. SpecialFNK 0
I saw this on the twitter and had to come and check. wouldn't it make sense for ND to stay independent for football? aren't there more benefits there? I'm not good on the conferences. looking at the ACC, I see Atlantic Division and Coastal Division, which division would ND go in? ND already has rivals with the likes of Florida State, Miami, Boston College. going to the ACC in football would likely mean no more games with Michigan, Michigan State, USC, ect? the big name non conference teams. I wouldn't mind that, take away some of the tougher competition and maybe it increases the chance at a better season.

1qa 0
I think the B12 would have been a better move... but, yes, the Big East is imploding. It is essentially a basketball conference (overrated in my opinion).
corysold 0
Assuming this is true, this might make for some monster schedules in future years. I'd assume they will still play USC and Navy every year. Add in 5 ACC teams is 7. Then you are choosing from Stanford, Michigan, Mich. St. and Purdue as traditional games. That makes 11, though obviously you won't play all of those. Texas is on the schedule in the future. That doesn't leave a lot of room to find "soft" games. You are either going to play 12 BCS teams, or drop one of the long time games.
NDhoosier 1,339
5 games is too much, I would like to see 4 games for the ACC. We already have 3 ACC games on the schedule (BC, Pitt, Miami)

We already have 3 ACC games on the schedule (BC, Pitt, Miami) we have four on the schedule this year...(Wake Forest) dont really see the big deal with adding the 5th team? seems easy enough to me. drop a BYU or a Purdue and there ya go. but people will b*tch about anything.
