marcwithglasses
an opening loss with the remaining schedule as it is and bk would surely be breaking an immediate sweat. he'd have many reasons and excuses but none that would be understandable or comprehendable. = i expect no less than 9 wins = i expect to be competitive in every game = i expect no "weis-like" embarrassing losses to all those fans who keep saying bk needs to establish 'his' players REMEMBER year 3 w/ charlie resulted in 3-9 followed by a combined 13-12. = the jury IS still out

cameroncrazy
A loss to Navy won't happen, front 7 play is too good. It may be closer than expected but a loss won't happen unless there is another turnover disaster. The jury may still be out, but all talk about Kelly really just needs to stop until we see what happens with Golson. If there are 8 turnovers instead of 10 in the first two games , they would have been a 10 win football team with Tommy Rees under the helm. He may not have all the depth/experience he wants, but he has all the players now. Kelly and Staff are the best we've had in years.
CelticImport
Only way ND loses to Navy is if we self-destruct; have 5 turnovers and every QB struggles. Kelly is safe at Notre Dame as he has the program heading in the right direction. Speed, size, talent and competitive depth exist at more and more positions. Players are being developed. Look to growing number of ex-Irish players in NFL and NDs return to the draft's first round.

Somebody had to be first on the 'ND losing to Navy' front. This just in, there are high expectations at ND, and the jury is still out on the current staff. marcwithglasses
not saying he's under the microscope / just waiting for the payoff that's all. just see too many posts with expectations being lowered because of this or that- demanding more and ultimatly wins
marcwithglasses
high expectations indeed and too many questions left for a 3rd year coach hopefully the answers come with wins
marcwithglasses
also the idea that bk is safe because of growing numbers to the nfl or high recruiting rankings and top prospects is somewhat irrelevant. what about winning games, bcs contention, and remember national championships? smaster
Thanks, Marc. I don't really see a reason for the opening hypothetical, but if that came true I think BK's seat would heat up real quick...deserved or not. Incidentally, outskirts of what? And is there a marcwithoutglasses on DD? Just bustin balls a little. Welcome!
nd1989
We won't lose to Navy. It might be a 14 point win instead of a 44 point win, but we won't lose.

IrishWarrior81
I am really surprised sometimes by the things people respond to. I make a legitimate post asking for updates from Ireland and travel news and don't get a single response. This guy spells 'loses' wrong and people take the time to justify why we will beat Navy. Beating Navy is a given, if it was even up for discussion there would be at least one person predicting a loss on the prediction thread.
