Hmm, this would be cooler if is was Ohio St. getting free tattoos vs. USC getting free housing, but I guess you take what you can get.

I went and voted against everyone I hated and was pleasantly surprised by the votes. Ohio St is getting killed, UGA is winning, FSU is completely destroying UF, and Clemson is barely ahead of USC. Oh, Colorado needs some help over Michigan.

I did my part. BTW: it's down to 65% - 35%. Giddy up, Irish.

They got all the help they needed years ago. Too bad their "tradition" is an error made by blind zebras. This is the one situation I vote UM.

I still hate Michigan more... I refuse to eat Dominoes, even if I'm starving in the desert, because F them. I also refuse to listen to Josh Groban, because, well... He sucks.

Hey, those weren't free! They were bartered for...

Sidebar: I really, really hate Ohio State. I'm not from Ohio and we never really play them, I can't imagine how much I'd hate them if we played them yearly. It would be Michigan times 10.

its gotta be between us and florida state.. i think fsu is gonna win

FYI: it's 68%-32%, ND, with more than 28,000 total votes. We have won every state except West Virginia. They have a map that looks like the Republican Party's worst nightmare.

Only to be beaten by a map out of Charlie Weis's worst nightmare.

ESPN is doing a tournament to find out what team fans think has the best tradition. It looks like it started with 25 teams, and is now down to 16 teams. ND is paired up against West Virginia, so go vote, even though ND is currently leading 73% vs WV's 23%.

I can honestly say, as someone who watches a lot of college football, I never heard of WVU's "Hold the Rope" tradition. Looks cheap and made up. Then I read it dates back all the way to DicRod. Steeped in tradition, obviously.

Florida State's "tradition" dates all the way back to when Bobby Bowden became the HC.

We're seeded number one, and our tradition, as presented, is pretty lame: we smack a sign as we go down the stairs. To get at the essence of tradition, you really have to look at what is behind that sign, what does it mean in terms of its history and the emotions it bring out in its fans. Also, our tradition really is the whole game day and all the games that have ever preceeded it: from the church service, to the walk to the stadium, the oldest marching band in the country leading the way, the stadium that Knute Rockne built (and Lou Holtz added on to), the Irish Fight Song, the leprecaun, the guys in their scottish kilts (how is that Irish, BTW?), Touchdown Jesus, the statues of the coaches (minus Devine) that encircle the stadium and the wall dedicated to our many All Americans, Rudy (despite what a now injured - karma - Montana says), and all the rest.

With all that behind it, it seems to me that a twenty second animated video of guys smacking the "Play Like a Champion" sign, when you think about it, is pretty lame.
