Just watched the film------at the 100 yd mark he dove into the end zone and flipped the ba----

no, but at the 100 meter mark he was 10 yards ahead----

He got out of the blocks and was moving from the start.

Where did you see the race?

Just saw an article that he won the 100 as well, in 10.55.

EDIT: Disregard, that was an old article. He won the 200 at that meet in 21.24 as well, confused me.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, but does he have *SEC* speed?

We should ask Herbie.....I am sure he would say something about "football speed"

Some very serious speed here. Looks like a kick returner day one and a real difference maker at corner. Can't wait to see the rest of this class.

instead of creating a new thread...just thought i'd add this here

Darby just ran a 10.41 100m at the New Balance Nationals in north carolina

think about that for a sec...that's almost 2 tenths of a second faster than the Atkinson twins ran and those 2 guys were already the fastest at ND

Looks like that puts him as the top qualify for the final, although others are close. Final is at 6:35pm and you can watch it live on that facebook link.

Jeff Demps has the record at 10.01. That's insane.

Ron finished 4th in 10.56

still faster than GeoIII's best time

which makes him the fastest guy on the team.

But he still has year to go---maybe next year

he wins both the 100 & 200.

he took 4th

Bust.

Maybe not... he plans to EE which means he'll only run the 200 in the indoor season and miss the spring 100.

Saw the race and he was even with the top 3 guys and then they put it into hyper drive - talk about fast...not sure if those dudes can play football, but man they can run. Darby looked like a football player running track - the other guys were sleek looking, not as big as him. Can't wait until he gets on campus...:llama:

I hope we hang on to the top defensive back class in the nation this year! This defense is going to be SICK if we do!

Nice find SDIrish !! Just amazing that he won by over a second!!!

I won't let myself get to excited though. I hope he stays with the Irish

I just get sick to my stomach thinking he'll change his mind and go somewhere else. We need speed like that.

i'm concerned that he will not think our track program is not good enough given that he has olympic potential.

We're going to have to work for him. That was clear from the start. He chose us first for a reason, and it's the type of reason that brought Lynch, Tuitt, and Prestwood to ND. In fact, we should let Prestwood talk to him.
