Posted over on Rivals--Treggs--"BLOWN AWAY" by his visit---would not surprise me to see this turn into a commit somewhat after the fact---may be one of the RUMBLINGS along with Darboh & Fergusen

I would call the exciting MR Treggs--HIGHLY LIKELY AS A FUTURE (sooner rather then later)--COMMIT--ONE OF THREE WR I EXPECT IN THIS CLASS !

aloha's go irish

Guessing at a maximum #20 scholarships available to start.

5 verbals accounted for and Badger leave 14 to go.

No big deal---Take all 3 W/R and go from there.

They are all real winners according to tapes and reports.

That leaves 11--------All must be the creme de la creme !!

1 QB--if Kiel and Mauk don't join the party maybe DEVON FULLER will.

2 RB--The Marshalls are good -- sign 'em up

1 TE--McNamara/Taylor or Thompson--can't go wrong

2 more Off Line men (some guys come over from the def side to add to total)

5 total for def line and LBs (we are in good shape there, take your pick)

Tuitt/Hounshell/Niklas/Rabasa/Grace/Councell/Springmann

and Joe Schmidt are waiting in the wings. A nose guard

would appear to be the only pressing issue.

Don't forget DGB at WR!! Correct me if I'm wrong but I think he still has interest in ND? We will get 4* and 5* WR's!! So many great WR's have interest in us I'm not sure who I prefer? Nice problem to have!!

Go Irish!!

I didn't forget him, he isn't showing any interest.

Last year the Irish waited for Savon Huggins and he never showed up. The

problem is there are only so many spots open and you can't wait for the guys who won't make decisions. Either they just are not able to make decisions, or they like the limelight.

Also you can get the #1 guy----and then, as in Seantrel Henderson's case, have him transfer.

Coach Kelly and Krew will make big stars out of whoever they get.

So I would not wait for Beckham, if he wants to come to ND he will visit and make a decision. Time and tide wait for no man, and those who hesitate

go to another school. ND is headed for the heights, get on board before the train leaves the station.

DGB can go wherever he wants hes a guy thays that good...if he decides notre dame ill be extremely happy this guy has all the tools tp break all of tim, golden and floyds records....we'll see how bad the coaches think we need him but ive been hearing alot more about other recievers lately....

And that is a very good thing. I really like how this is going DGB is the guy we need to get. I just hope we can get him to campus. I can't wait to see the Official Visitor list for the USC game.

If he is as good as all the recruiting services say he is, coach Kelly will leave a spot open for him till national signing day!! IMHO... The momentum is great but it's still very early in the recruiting process!! But since this is a Treggs thread I'm all for Bryce committing ASAP!!!

I've heard that DGB has a brother who's a bit sick right now and he's put recruiting on the back-burner. I'm sure ND will get their shot, so I think for now we can all enjoy the other recruiting battles!

Looks like Bryce, Tee, Darby and Marshall are keeping the lines of communication open

"Ronald Speedy Lightning Darby: thats whats up and when it s over just look at what them schools can do for you after football fam. Our sport dont last 4ever.lol wish it did though

How many WRs can we take right now? I think if we take three right away, we'd have to tell the other WR offers that the ship has sailed. Other than DGB.

And, it seems that the staff is determined to take more DBs, with the offer to Hines just made. I suspect there will be more than 20 in this class, when all is said and done. I can't see them turning down a top OL or top DB that wants to join in. The 5th year decisions next year will be harsh. Seniors better show something this fall or they'll be gone.

I saw an interview where he said he almost committed on the spot, but wanted to go home and sleep on it.

He is a great talent, I hope we get him. I like pulling kids out of U$C's backyard.

think your mixing him up with Ferguson who said that.

Bryce wants to wait til his official visits before he decides. It looks like a 2 horse race though between ND and Cal

he told ESPN that he wants to make an early decision (i've seen him say this twice) yesterday but if he can't decide then he'll take is OVs

The number of scholerships is 85 max----that is is.

ND has 65 on the field last Sat and 18 more on the way. A

total of 83 plus Michael Floyd.

After the 2011 season 13 graduate. Those 13 can not come back, their 4 year eligibility is over. That makes 71. OR--- 14 spots open.

There are also 13 seniors who are eligible to apply for a 5th year. If none return the toatal would be added to the 14 OR-----27 total.

For every returning 5th year veteran you deduct 1 frome the 27.

The list is----

John Goodman

Deion Walker

Lane Cleeland

Mike Golic

Brandon Newman

K. Lewis-Moore

David Poslusny

Anthony McDonald

Brandon Cave

Hafis Williams

Sean Cwynar

Dan McCarthy

J. Slaughter

KLM/Hafis/Slaughter/Cwynar/Cave/Golic are sure to come back--a total of 6

from 27 = 21 slots open-------now you figure how many of the others 3 year veterans you would prefer to a recruit who may redshirt.

I guess it really depends on how they play this season.

If the total remains 21 figure that Badger will be back, plus

Shephard/Decker/Darby/Barrati and Daly are on board = 6

ND has 15 max left.

I would challenge that Golic is for sure coming back. He hasn't even played in a game yet and still isn't starting.

Golic plays in every game---he is the only real back-up at center,

He backs up at guard and is on every special team.

KLM may very well go to the NFL --- there sure is plenty of beef

behind him. It depends on this season, a great one will make

it almost certain.

But you lads can see the situation--the number of offers is well over 100

but there are only 14 or 15 openings.

I expect that we have some DE's head for the NFL. Also wouldn't be surprised if Wood has a great year if he bolts to the league. Running backs need to make hay while the sun is shining.

Well if he goes by which team has the biggest upside, than it's a no-brainer here.

I'll have to look at Bosco's schedule this year and go watch a game.

  • 1 month later...

He is down to three teams. Cal, Stanford and ND!
