I've been reading that Kent Taylor has supposedly posted "Just got back from Notre Dame...amazing" as a Facebook status.

We have a great chance.

More "amazing" things than that have happened for ND lately

Grew up as a Penn State guy, which helps a little bit (not necessarily sworn to the South). There was a time when Omar Hunter grew up on Michigan football too, so you never know. Uphill, but quite doable, especially when you point to the #1 TE in the draft and say, "He's gone ya know..."

Scouts updated rankings have Kent as the number 1 TE overall for 2012 and # 70 ranked player--we are TE U!!

aloha's

I like being TE U but would prefer Titletown!

charlie weis will be in his ear............

charlie sux

Damn, he must have some really big ears!

Charlie & Co. may push all in with a guy like Sean Price before they do with Taylor, but I'm sure they're going to give a guy of Taylor's caliber plenty to think about. Helped put two tight ends into the league, and both will be top 50 draft picks. Ironically enough, Charlie helped build the well oiled TE machine that seems to be really magnetic for top TE recruits, and may end up being a victim of his own success.

Still early, but our visit pushed us from the outside looking in with just a puncher's chance to a real player for his services. Flashing multiple tight end sets in the practice he witnessed definitely helped (one of the benefits of Floyd being out and a guy like Daniel Smith being dinged is using more I guess), and it sounds like he's already eyeballing an OV for the USC game.

getting him back for USC would be fantastic...didn't know that was his preliminary plan

don't think the coaches are pushing for price anymore, we may have at one time but prolly realized we had not shot and moved on to taylor
