Is what real?

Oklahoma is making a late push and talking to him.

I see. Hope Kelly and Co. can keep him in the fold . . .

We, definitely, need the numbers in the secondary. We are going to need corners when Blanton and Gray leave, after next season.

I dont get why the kid would even consider taking their phone calls? We have a killer class and he is a nice part of it. If the kid left for Oklahoma this late in the game he would have to be nuts!

Oklahoma was making a push for him even before ND got involved. Unless something new happens this wkend like a visit or something then I think ND is ok.

According to Rivals, this stems from TCU flipping an OU DB commit. What a slap in the face!

No he and Can are a package deal, Oklahoma was recruiting him while he was commited to Wisconsin

I'm not trying to be a boo bird here, as I do think part of the allure is to play with his teammate, and that the value of the ND degree can't really be ignored, but silence on this front isn't usually a good thing. Its not like he's intensely private, as he's done interviews before - even went on Mike Frank's radio show.

While we like to live in a world of recruiting absolutes, the reality is probably in the gray area. I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if he's listening to everyone right now, including Oklahoma, and is taking an alternative approach compared to Tuitt by keeping quiet. I still would like to think that he's just being diligent, as his offer list isn't as prolific as some of the other kids, and that he'll still be inking with the Irish on Wednesday, but this is the time of year for screwy stuff late in the game.

I had him penciled in to start in 2012 against Oklahoma....... We need this guy and should pay him some attention these last couple of days.

The silence appears to be net-wide. the only thing I really see is a blurb by fan nation that everyone is referencing, including the OU guys at rivals. Who knows? I would hate to lose the kid to Boob, especially in light of the fact that our D is making a big splash as we close on signing day. Who wouldn't want to be part of that. Stay the course, young man!

It there are legs to this, it makes you wonder if something happened during his official visit - like the Justice Hayes visit where he felt that he didn't get enough attention / face time with the coaches?

I don't think so, perhaps he didn't like the town all that much, but Oklahoma was a team he said he'd listen to and Oklahoma looms large in Texas recruiting. He camped there and performed well, but they were full at the time, they lost a kid to TCU and Bennett is next on their list.

Hope like hell we can hold onto him, he could be a stud for us and play very early.

It would be wise to have one of the coaches pay a visit to Okotcha and McDaniel just to press home what a special class this is and where they fit in.

He was just on campus last week with Cam. Anything can happen before NSD though!

I've reached the point that I'm waiting until NSD until I get hyped about anyone in the new class. Its always a fun ride but im getting dizzy.

If this is the article that I saw earlier today the quote from him is dated last summer.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of signing day, I will fear no Sooner: for thou art with me; thy warriors Kelly, Martin, and Diaco they comfort me.

You comfort me Lakes...in a manly sort of macho way....

Wait! That didn't work...

...but I do feel better.

It is my understanding that OU is very deep at DB.......
