Good stuff. I was one of the guys scratching their head wondering who the heck Charlie Weis was. It took all of about 10 minutes after he was hired for me to be sold on him. I never was totally sold on Ty, and just when I thought he might have something, along came the BC game. This just feels different, 100% confident from the get-go.

Snatchy same here. Who is this guy? Then read to find out everyone IN football knows Coach Weis. DUH! Then it was his first press conference, the assistants, meeting the team, recruiting, visiting the students spring ball, going on the road, gug done, stadium updated and it's scrambling to keep up with him.

Anyone know when the next Interview with Weis will be?

It's most likely the only time we will get some REAL news. The player interviews are cliche and all my news alerts are simply re-cycled old items and with 10 days to go i will explode. I guess I can't mind about a news lid. Wanny and others know 'nothin'either. But ND is making these new announcemts every week about changes Last year seemed we had lots of talk but little show. 10 days? Jeese!

It's frustrating not getting the information we so desperately crave, but I did get a chuckle about Weis' response to questions about the freshman interviews.

Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis chortled heartily even before hearing about how Kuntz and his other freshmen largely stonewalled the media during their one and only preseason window together. He was that confident they'd follow the script.

"How were they, by the way?" Weis playfully asked the media.

Apparently they've been following instructions on the field just as diligently.

I know. He did I think promise interviews on Sunday after the game?I can sense the main media are kind of getting more favorable, not that it matters any. A bunch we play look good on paper but we are not the 2004 team and they are not.Everythings based on 2004 to date.

Biggest smile I have is 2 whole weeks to prepare for USC. :D That's what 40 hours legal NCAA practice to their 20? :D Woooie on that while looking forward to ALL the games and september 3

Excellent point, I hadn't even thought of what a huge advantage that will be. Charlie will be able to install twice the amount of USC-specific offense. He can pull out all the stops.

:D A pal reminded me also that no one not being on the 2003 team of USC has ever played at ND stadium plus new changes there. Two weeks to scheme 40 hours vs their 20, I'm drooling where once I shuddered. :D

These aren't that 2004 bunch that our coaches let you push and shove around. Pride now.

Sir, that's forty hours of INSTILLING preparation. Charlie will work every hour with his assistants imaginable thinking of every aspect, but yeah it is exciting to think about.

That's the beauty of CW. He dedicates so many hours of the day to scheming so that the precious few hours of practice can be all installation. You have to admire his dedication. If anyone can fail working THAT hard at a job, they would truly have to be inept or the job too difficult.
