October 12, 201014 yr hamstring apparently came off the bone. they had to do surgery. Damn.... Not good if thats the case
October 12, 201014 yr Man that's not good. Wish him the best in his recovery. He never looked like he was 100% really. Expect to see lots of Eifert and Ragone the rest of the year. I know Ragone had a bad drop but like his speed and would like to see him have a great rest of the season.
October 12, 201014 yr I havent seen any reports along those lines. Kelly talked about the injury on his post Pitt recap and said its possible that Rudolph gets some time off, and in no way did he make the injury seem that severe at all. Id expect him to miss the Western Michigan game, and then they will take a look at him again for Navy.
October 12, 201014 yr Here's the article I call B.S. Maybe out a couple of weeks but not the season...
October 12, 201014 yr well that just sucks then lol. You gotta feel for the guy, hopefully he gets healthy and comes back strong next season.
October 12, 201014 yr Hope for a speedy recovery. You could tell he was hurting on that one fly pattern he ran that he was wide open on that was overthrown. You could tell from replay, he could not get any push at all.
October 12, 201014 yr god damn...off the bone?!?!!? and he was still one of th top TEs in the country lol can he still get a medical redshirt this year? Edited October 12, 201014 yr by Franco
October 12, 201014 yr It's better that he is out now then down the road. Hopefully surgery goes well and he'll recovery quickly. Thanks for a great first half Rudy!!!
October 12, 201014 yr So does this all but guarantee that he does not go to the NFL next year??Too early to tell but I think it decreases the chances he goes pro significantly. He has far more to earn and gain by returning next year.
October 12, 201014 yr I am glad we have a couple of easier games coming up to give "the next guys in" a chance to get more playing time. I hope this means he will be back next year, but best to him.
October 12, 201014 yr This really sucks!! Time for Ragone to step up. He's never really had a chance to play to his potential, due to injuries, Rudolph's emergence, etc. How healthy is Eifert? Wonder if Burger, Golic, or even Alex Welch will get some playing time.
October 12, 201014 yr This is actually pretty serious, especially for a TE. Tommie Harris of the Bears had this same injury, and he hasn't been the same since. He had a knee thing too, but Rudolph may never be 100% again.
October 12, 201014 yr Terrible news. Wish the tough guy a full recovery. Thanks for all the hard work while gutting it out Rudy.

October 12, 201014 yr Kyle is a tough kid and he gave it all he had. When Dayne scored that rushing td against Pitt Kyle was on the ground in the endzone and he was getting up real slowly. That is when I felt he wasn't right but he finished the game. This might not hurt his NFL stock because his numbers through 6 games are at or better than his numbers his first 2 years.
October 12, 201014 yr So does this all but guarantee that he does not go to the NFL next year?? If I were a GM I would not think he's less of a player because he got hurt Unless he struggles with recovery. If he's healthy I think he outshines any TE in the combines. Best of luck rudy.
October 12, 201014 yr Terrible news. Let's hope this isn't something that hampers his playing ability going forward.
