IE also confirming the announcement on Monday.

Is this a done deal for ND?

Will this have a huge impact on Trattou and Kamara to commit? I heard they really hit it off at the B&G game.

:) 99.99 Ragone is Irish.

I am surprised that Kamara isn't ready to commit, and Ragone is...

I am willing to go out on a limb and say I am with Bat on this one (99.99% Irish).

:) No limb...solid Terra Firma

The avalanche is starting.... Here come the verbals! THANKS CHARLIE, and THANKS JC!

I'll up the ante to 100.... Both IE and Rivals think Trattou is just around the corner.

Is his 4.4 legit? if so that is amazing for a tight end. the only other that i've seen do that is Vernon Davis. He's Irish imo.

This is good news..Is anyone going out oin a limb with Trattuo?I hope hes Irish.I didn't realize that Ragone wanted to commit so soon.

CW is the master when it comes to QBs and TEs, can you imagine what he can do with a TE with that 6'5 and runs a 4.4. YIKES!

The old priest in NJ I got my info from on Ragone made the statement Heaven is not enough ceiling for his ability. I let that go at the time. If 4.4 maybe so with room to improve this year and under Weis. I don't know nor particularly care what Scout or Rivals say. The word I get is "Remarkable." So I don't take that lightly. Tis old man has seen more ball players then I ever will.

Mike Farrel emphasized that that Trattou said he would not be announcing his commitment "this" Monday... He seemed confidant that he would announce soon.

Evidently the Ragones and Trattous really have become family friends and so if Ragone does commit to ND, Trattou is ours to lose.

IMO, all three Jersey guys will be Irish. It is just a matter of timing.

Next in Line

With the Jimmy Clausen commitment in the rearview mirror, many Irish fans are wondering when the next bluechip prospect will ultimately choose Notre Dame. The wait might not be long.

This was off of Scouts.com and was talking about Ragone.i can't read what they say about him its a pay site.

They say that Ragone and Williams will be the next two.

They say that Ragone and Williams will be the next two.

Agreed. 4.4 is kind of freakish for a TE, and it probably isn't legit because any tight end would be 5 stars with that, and Ragone is only four.

Ragone is a given. Williams I know nothing about. One more thing do not credit JC with Ragone. Ragone may be happy he is in now but my word was Ragone was Charlies at least around Feb according to my past old EMs here with my source and should not be a JC 'credit.'

That 4.4 could well be a 4.49 and different tracks run at different speeds. For instance, the NFL scouting combine track is notably slow. Could just be that the kid is running of a fast track.

Let's also remember that Vernon Davis is about 25#s heavier. I'm sure that Ragone will drop some time if he put on that much weight.

EDIT

PS- If those numbers (6'5, 230#, 4.4) are right why the hell isn't he playing middle linebacker for us?

Most of the articles I have seen have Ragone around 4.45 prior to his knee injury.

Davis is a freak of nature. He ran a 4.38 at the NFL combine. He was Maryland's strongest player (in the gym) as well as the fastest.

IMO Ragone is Irish.

A New Jersey kid that speaks Charlie's language.

A sound upbringing with catolicism at its core.

Notre Dame being the foremost producer of quality Tight Ends.

And to top it all Charlie used his contacts at the Philadelphia Eagles so he could have his op.

Ragone is one to get the mortgage on if you can find someone to bet against him commiting to N.D particularly after Clausen's announcement.

GO IRISH

Ragone, Williams, Trattou, Kumara are all done deals boys, just a matter of when they announce and Ragone looks to be up first

also, hes fast, watch his tape, i could see saying hes 4.4 he may be the fastest tight end ive seen on tape in a long time, hes a burner, great pick up for the Irish
