Yep danger so 7

That's a great selling point in a kids parents home. "I'll take care of your son" I couldn't include Lienart in nightclubs and casinos with starlets or let's see, snoop dog on the sidelines. :D

I understand that we're all bored, but this is turning into sausage. USC for the most part runs a pretty clean program. Additionally, the rivalry suffers when USC or ND suffer. They will still be able to recruit kids and Carroll won't be fired, at least not for a good number of years.

i agree but you can't help but notice all the of the off the field issues that a lot of players have had over the last 3-4 years.

:) Come on blue let's have a little fun at the expense of our "rival." People would still go to the ND USC game even if they were bleeeeeeeeeeeeep.

We should relish beating our opponent. Not some accusations (which is all they are right now), especially considering that we've had a few bad eggs as well.

They are indeed accusations. still relish them and do want to see how they are handled. :)

Of three ND incidents I know of Paul Hornung shot his mouth off and is no longer on radio. A trustee beat up (or pushed around) his wife in a SB motel and quit rather then be canned. A player was arrested DUI and promptly never played a game the rest of the season.

All in all some bad publicity for ND. We took our smacks in the main media. The punishments were apparently appropriate. I can't mind smacks going elsewhere. :)

Do you not recall the gang rape about 5 years ago involving 4 or 5 Notre Dame football players?

My point is regarding the Sanchez incident is that either the report is false and now the player must live the rest of his life under this stigma even if his name is cleared OR the report is true and a girl was raped.

I don't think that's something to relish. Sorry.

Nope the act is not to be relished blue. I have three daughters.

We were discussing bad publicity and perhaps a program out of control with little or no oversite. Blue you got, innocent or not, fake ID's guys in the wrong places at the wrong time schmoozing with the wrong people.

I think we went back as far as 2004 to USC, prior to your post. I limited my ND situations to those three I knew of immediately. One of which Hornung did not happen on Charlies Watch. Five years ago was who's watch? Realisticly anything not on charlie's watch is of no interest to me. Anything on Tressels, Spurrier or Petes watch is of major interest

Please don't twist my wording :?

OK we can let them smack ND all over the media. We will now remain silent and let the courts or USC Administration handle their usually clean program. I clam up my freedom of speech.

But occurs to me so Media can rip ND but leave the others alone?

"They are indeed accusations. still relish them..." Sure sounds like you're relishing the entire situation.

USC is a great opponent and personally I think it's beneath us to go crazy over this. I'm looking forward to the Trojan demise, but not like this.

And you're right, people smack ND all over the media. You know why? Because we're Notre Dame. If you don't get that by now I don't know what it's going to take. You want to know what makes us Notre Dame? The fact that we carry ourselves with a little more class than those who give us smack and don't feel the need to respond every time the opportunity presents itself.

The Trojan demise already started.... remember this “I’m very excited and proud to say that in January, I’ll be attending the University of Notre Dame,” Clausen said to a wave of applause."

See Blue heres the problem... some of us dont really care how USC goes down. I hate USC with a passion. Theyve been cheating and they finally got caught. Technically not yet but it will come out. You value the competiton aspect of the rivalry as do I and on an even playing field to win or lose should come down to who wanted it more....but when the competition has cheated to give them the edge and made it unfair wheres the right or competitive spirit in that? If USC played by the rules the so called Bush push doesnt happen as a matter of fact take Reggie Bush out of the game last year and Notre Dame wins easily. I hope USC gets everything they deserve out of this. What did they give all the other guys to go there? Carroll needs to look himself in the mirror and decide whats more important cheating to win or the lasting effects it is going to have on the University which you try to defend. How can Bush say he wasnt aware where his own family lived? That is the most ridiculous bullshit ive heard in awhile and anyone who buys that needs their freakin head examined. For Carroll who no one will convince me he didnt know about any of this... to let this go on and not have a tighter leash on HIS PLAYERS and not take a stand on Bush means quite simply he didnt care about the rules and playing by them. He cheated to win plain and simple. What about all the other schools who were cheated out of possible wins. Feel bad for them not USC.

BG,

All the information that's coming out seems to indicate that USC neither had any idea what was going on, nor could have had and idea regarding Bush. And for the record let's remember this wasn't a booster who was involved, it was a sports agent. The agent didn't offer the family a house so Reggie would go to USC, it was so Reggie would sign with him once he became a pro. In my mind that's a huge difference.

More to the point, the article that got this whole post going wasn't about Bush, it was about Sanchez.
