Stanford.... hmmm... I say. Shock the f'in world by beating the living H out of Purdue. 49-3.... that would make people notice real quick. I can't wait for the season to start.

Change Stanford to Utah and pass the absynth.

Gerry , hate to disagree about Stanford , the most important game will be Michigan and Michigan stat back to back, Purdue will be interesting , if we get by these three the rest will fall in line as we will have the lovely media hyping the coach and the Irish, which should put us in a bowl game , we can score a lot but the defense still needs a help. go Irish ;)

This. Gerhart made Stanford an above average team, IMO. Luck is decent, but his wideouts aren't anything special. Plus, their defense is absolutely terrible. They could easily lose 5 games or more.

I don't know about .500, but they are definitely going to be worse without Gerhart there.

I don't know why ranking sites have them so high without him.

The kid almost one the fricken Heisman, and many people think he should have!!

I see the Cardinal being an 8-4, maybe 9-3 team.

True, they could lose to any of these teams. The thing with Cal is they play at the end of the season and Cal is the Michigan State of the West Coast, lol. Wake Forest has to travel cross country and teams that don't do that very often struggle in those games. Oregon lost its star QB, so I'm not sure how they will be this season. They are usually pretty good, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt. At least I found someone to agree with me about how overrated Stanford is, haha.

If the Wake game was late in the season I would not think twice about saying Stanford would win... but its like the 3rd game of the season (and the 1st real game)

Sheesh, since you spelled it out for me, maybe they do go .500.

Stanford will be a top 25 team...along with USC and maybe Utah...we just have to take this one game at a time and let the team learn the system little by little...I hope nobody expects to be like 2008 and 2009 cincy out of the gate...this will take time no matter how many times Kelly says it will happen right away

The BIG question will be Michigan and Michigan State back to back. Crist is the BIG UNKNOWN, but I hear he is really starting to light it up in 7 on 7 drills. If Crist comes out of the gate playing well then anything is possible. I worry about Pitt and Utah as far as talent, but after we stomp Purdue 45-17, then we will start getting excited.

Michigan and Michigan St. will be tough, esp. MSU. Though , I think we can handle Michigan this season. Good to hear about Crist. I had a ton of concerns with his accuracy and he is the key to this season. Im more worried about Utah than Pitt. I don't think Pitt is that good of a team. MSU is the toughest team we face all season, IMHO.
