July 7, 201015 yr Wow, Scout is a big fan of Texas' class. Boy, so am I. That is insane. SEVEN guys that Scout is calling 5*? They have probably topped out, but I still don't know that anyone will catch them. Check out Stanford, too. Good find, Rocket.
July 7, 201015 yr It is so nice not to see michigan in there. Makes me wonder what the kids are thinking about rich rod and his future
July 7, 201015 yr Man, with all that talent in state a monkey could recruit to Texas and stock the team with 5* players.
July 7, 201015 yr Scout also (understandably) still has Wittek, Woods, and Thomas on the USC commit list. We'll see if those and others hold up.

Good find, Rocket. I don't know how many schollies LSU has to offer, but they are sitting pretty good with 5 5* commits. The only thing that is keeping their ranking lower is teh amount of commits.
July 7, 201015 yr We'll see how Stanford holds out at the end of the year when Harbaugh replaces DickRod at UM.
July 7, 201015 yr For all the flack Kelly has received regarding recruiting I am very happy with where ND currently stands. Interesting note for all the complainers: National Champ Alabama has more 3*s(6) than a 6-6 ND team with a new coach. I think it is safe to say Kelly is making a solid impression on recruits for not having coached a game yet...
July 7, 201015 yr Even better, if you exclude the Kicker, who is unranked with 0 stars, Notre Dame's average recruit is 3.63 stars, good for 6th best current average, behind only Texas (4.04), LSU (3.91), Ohio St. (3.88), Florida (3.77, also has a kicker to exclude) and Alabama (3.64). So we are getting good players, hopefully that trend will continue.
July 8, 201015 yr should be a 5 star for impact he could have on the game. should get a 4 star before its all done.
July 8, 201015 yr Man, with all that talent in state a monkey could recruit to Texas and stock the team with 5* players. Yeah, and two of the 5* players for 2011 are from out of state--Arizona and Oklahoma. Mack Brown can recruit. Seven 5** for 2011 and six in the 2010 class. Texas will be formidable. And Kelly is doing just fine in recruiting. Next year, after a successful season, will be even better.
July 8, 201015 yr I actually think Miami can challenge for a top class remember that they only have 6 recruit's

I agree LSU looks great, but they only have 2 5* commits. You are looking at the "Top 100" column, and 5 of those is still excellent. If DickRod is gone in December, Les Miles probably pops up again as a possibility. What a fiasco a few years ago.

I knew they were doing pretty good, but just looked at the wrong one. Apparently there is a lot of talent in LA this year, and they are taking it in.
July 8, 201015 yr Bama recruits 28 kids per class anyway and throws aways the ones that don't work out.
