Hi, first time poster.

Which recruit do the weismen out there, think will be Charlie's first visit after spring practice?

Last spring it was James Aldridge and JC said it was a big factor in his recruitment that Charlie was there at 8.00 on his first day of recruitment.

This first visit seems to be a big accolade and you never get a second chance to make a first impression.

For my money Josh Oglesby will be the one. As he couldn't make the Blue-Gold game,is from the midwest and has been on our recruiting radar for as long as anyone. With Sam Young on board,it will give ND a pair of dominating OT bookends and give JC all day to throwto his fleet of thoroughbred receivers which will commit this year.

Probably miles off the mark but would like to see your thoughts.

Welcome subatlantic. Yep I agree with you Josh would be a reat first call simply because he would be a hop skip away distance wise.

Of course he could fly out Sunday... so distance really is not a huge factor. I thing DC could be a first stop. Then he could visit Benn or Austin and follow up with the other. Another good bet is NJ, three or four recruits in the same general area... I only know that he is suppose to visit 4 or 5 schools tomorrow.

ND I am going by what is closest. Like He flew to Cincy with Minter last year. then flew down to Fort Capmbell KY for our good recruit, then off to Rome Geogia. It seems the clossest most efficient way. That's a Weis way. If you follow his chart it was one, two, three four etc then he did go into Florida for an event after Rome. So It's an iffciant Iannalo way.

 

So I pass on that and say hop close then reach farther. We will see. Depends who is on radar weak or strong.

CW will visit DC first and then most likely Jersey. Austin and Benn are in Dc and Austin is the #2 target of the Irish. Not that Benn isn't a stud. Just that we NEED a Bigtime DT.

that makes sense chiro, i know he has two flights tomorrow, i woudl assume the second one was short, so dc to jersey would make sense to me, as far as Josh goes, that kid loves weis, they text every friday and i think hes gonna get a stop by but not necessarily the first stop by, remember the first stop can be used to make the most impression and Austin in my opinon still needs the most impression made on him

If he is taking tow flights that also fits in with 4-5 schools. 2 in DC and 2-3 in NJ.

yea i think the midwest may be around the second week of may because Hughes from Hubbard in Chicago is quoted as saying that CW will be at his school on May 16, so my guess is that he will be in Wisconsin around that say time to see Josh, but with Charlie you never know he will fly across the country in a day if he thinks it will get him a recruit Reuland!

I am betting DC as well. NJ isn't a bad guess for what's next. After that I have no idea.

 

On a side note I would love to see Charlie's schedule posted. That would be an amazing read.

Elsewhere here I felt closer to SB at first as NJ has that huge combine for HS kids May 1st. Could be he does want a personal visit before that? That's also NFL contact area, the coming draft and really the Hannah territory still.

 

I am not sure of the veracity of Rivals tracking a plane. If so it would only be commercial.

 

A boosters plane would be impossible to guage. There must be a dozen of those and which one and which flight plan filed is Charlies? If I recall correctly last year he and Minter went from SB to Cincy, then to Fort Campbell KY and on to Rome Georgia then Fla all in a boosters.

It was confirmed on the Rivals board (by the administrator) that Charlie Weis went to Cincinnati to visit Ben Martin today. More to come later...

I know Chiro: I had to do a jet from louisville to Cincy pick up a Delta in that HUGE airport for San Antonio then back again. It means zip if it's a corporate, jet.

Some guy from Arizona St came to my school today to see to of our players.....dont know who he is or what he does but he was here today
