He's supposed to visit once again this month, and I think that'll be a great litmus test. If he cancels his trip or doesn't commit by the end of June, that's when I think there might be a problem. If a recruit has ND as his leader and has seen the campus several times and he still hasn't pulled the trigger, to me that means there's at least one thing giving them reason to hesitate.

 

With Lynch, time is of the essence. The longer he waits to come to ND, the less likely he is to come, at least in my opinion. If he doesn't commit to us by June then we're slipping.

Its better that he doesnt commit now and then dump ND for Florida at the last minute. I guess we'll have to wait and see how important actual playing time is to him. His chances of seeing the field anytime soon arent that great at UF.

Funny thing about his is that there is no talk about it anywhere but on Powerhour. There isn't any mention of it in any of the major forums, which I find odd because normally people would be on the ledge ready to jump...

I trust Mike Frank more than any other recruiting source. If Frank feels we're slipping with Lynch a bit, I'd give him the benefit of the doubt.

The kid doesn't really talk to anybody. It's really hard for anyone to get a read on him. I'm assuming this info is coming from the guys covering Florida. Not from Lynch himself.

His next visit, sometime in June, is supposed to be with his family, right? Here's to hoping this visit happens soon.

 

As far as depth, I bet Carrico would play either OL or DL if asked to. If let's say a Clay Burton (longshot IMO) decides to commit and Lynch then joins the class, Carrico could move to OL, completing the recruiting there. Unless Kelly takes what he can get this year and doesn't close the door on either OL or DL recruiting to get the best kids in. Who knows, this is why I follow recruiting.
