Sorry to be Debbie Downer on this Good Friday but this was on IE today:

"Josh Oglesby (6-8, 310-pounds) had been planning to take a trip to South Bend for the Notre Dame spring game, but he realized that he a conflict in his schedule.

“I actually made a prior commitment to go to Madison, and I had forgotten about it until it was brought to my attention, said Oglesby of the conflict between the Notre Dame and Wisconsin spring games. “Since I made my plans to go to Madison prior to Notre Dame’s I thought it would be disloyal to break that.

“Maybe I’ll leave at halftime and try to make it to South Bend in time,” he joked.

Although Josh was recently at Notre Dame for a junior day in early March, Charlie Weis and the Irish staff would like to get him back on campus.

“I went to Notre Dame the most recent, I think I was in Madison a couple weeks before that,” Explained Oglesby. “I plan to attend Notre Dame’s camp and I’d like to get to one of their spring practices to make up for my absence from the spring game. I definitely will try because my spring break is just starting."

As the weather starts to heat up, and coaches are able to get out and visit recruits during May, Oglesby will have already narrowed his option down.

“Right now I’m in the process of narrowing it down before it gets too crazy,” Oglesby said. “Just yesterday I got a text from a couple schools [not under consideration] asking me if I wanted to leave Wisconsin. It’s all starting to add up and I want to catch it before it gets too crazy."

Josh,

I know you're only a high school kid with a ton of things going on, but come on, pick up a calendar at office max. I'd do it for you, but unfortunately that would be a recruiting violating.

Not a big deal. I think by honoring this he is showing the kind of character that Weis likes in a player.

It's a spring game.

agreed, I also think we are in good shape with him and he stated he will come out for a practice...I do not think he was ready to verb, and seeing ND again wasn't going to do it, I say Weis gets him to visit later on in the year when hes more ripe to commit and seals the deal then

i like that going to ND for the BG game made him forget about his going to Madison. Maybe it didn't, but he didn't say he forgot about going to ND's game.

i thought that big josh oglesbry, was commited, if so ok , he said he made previous plans, we should respect that. i hope that we don't have a springhill kid on our on again off again deal, this clausen qb kid is he comeing or is this just more ink, been told he is all but wraped up for pete.c. that would make mr carroll very happy.

At the least, he's 50/50. Many (with better sources than me) believe that he is an Irish lean and possibly already silent.

I think it is good sign that Ogelsby forgot about his commitment to go to Wisconsin, the team that is suppose to be NDs main competition, and that he still wants to come down on his spring break to see practice.

Let's see the land of cheese and beer OR the land of milk and honey? All bees eventually come home to the HIVE! I think he will be IRISH!

Blue you do come up with some nice ones. But, I do have to aggree with you about a calendar.I'll help pitch in.lol

It is important that ND gets all the OL it can get. USC is loaded everywhere with the exception of OL and they need a new superstar QB.

Pete Carroll himself has admitted that USC will need to hit it big at OL so therefore Charlie Weis should try to get as many as possible to cripple the Trojans at line of scrimage amd take command of the series.

:) Let's get em! And welcome to domers BEsanDers. :)

welcome to the DD B.

I'm still NOT convinced that Oglesby will sign with the Badgers. CHuckie has been quoted as saying that he willahve some definite surprises on signing day. I expect this to be one of them. Marc Tyler may also decide that he doesn't want to be on the pine his entire time at USC. Just thinking out loud.

Well if there coach takes the 'bama job like some think then I think ND is right back in it. He really liked ND and the only that could keep him from ND was his home state school Wisconson and if there is a change, my best guess is that Weis would still take him.

I dont know. Oglesbay is very active in recruiting for Wisconsin from all accounts

Oh Jeese that start post was post last April at top of thread I got no way of knowing if that was premium????   Lone decision.....OK if it was prior to the pull down it was just accidently missed and old crappy news anyway.

Unless there is a coaching coach he's not going anywhere. But if there coach does take the job I would not be surprised in the least to see him Irish. He really loved ND but playing for his home scgool was to much and as much as I would've love to see him here, I can respect that.

His grandma was sick too, its a better fit for him to stay close to him

UW is a not exactly a bad place to go to school, it can get pretty wild up in Madison
